I've seen that before, but I don't have one, I would use a cordless drill (for jewelry). Same idea though. That would have actually been easier than the drill. I always had problems running it slowly enough when coiling.
Those jewelers screwdrivers are nice for wrapping coils. Here is an old tutorial I put together awhile back. You can see the screwdriver doubles as a mandrel. The one in the tutorial is 2.0mm diameter. The next larger driver is like 2.4mm. You can buy a set of these at Home Depot for like $8 or something.

Oh, then I'll just get a set of those screwdrivers for myself if they're that reasonable, same with the drill bit.
That way if he needs his, he doesn't have to come get them from me. I have my own little tool box for basic stuff.
