Nice Baseman. What air setting do you have it on?

3/4 to fully open.
Lowering the airflow isn't the same as previous Kayfuns, the flavor feels kinda muted - which is probably the result of the way bigger air channel beneath the coil (3,2mm instead of 1,8mm).

I know this has been discussed already, but I'm just saying I hope it's similar to the old "S" options in the past, where we get to replace the center post with the opposite of an "S" upgrade to actually limit air via a smaller hole in the post? Or a center post that could bring back the grub screw option.

I don't mind buying the extra piece, whatever it shall be. :)

Hi Stanley- I should get mine today since it didn't come yesterday- sounds like you and I have very similar wants/ vaping styles, as I too have been wondering about their 'cost effective option' for MTL vapers and hoping the smallest setting is not too big- will report back as soon as I receive it and will compare to the KFL and KFL+ as soon as I do!!- anything else you'd like me to compare it to?- the atties I have are in my sig link :)

The most cost-effective solution would be probably what the smokerstore did with their Taifun GTII: a little tube made out of Teflon or Peek inserted right into the air channel to reduce the intake. Another option would be a reduced Centerpost.

One way or another, both solutions should probably cost ~5-15 bucks -- affordable stuff in my eyes.

Just Arrived :)

Very easy to coil with NiFe 30 12 wraps .4 Ohms (Much easier to coil than the Mini )
Great Flavour on the smallest air setting seems quite airy above this !
Looks much more aesthetically pleasing on the Dicodes No 6 than the mini :)

Very Happy with the "5"

Right, postie just dropped it off- it's a lovely bit of kit- has some nice heft to it too!- Haven't put a build in it yet, but just thought I'd report back on initial airflow observations- on the smallest setting it is a bit looser than the original KFL- not sure how if the air holes are supposed to be the same size!?- this has long been my reference for 'optimum' MTL. I'd ideally like it a touch tighter- but really need to give it a good try out- am sure it will be fine, but am curious as to what suggestions Svoe come up with!

What mod is that? You mentioned dicode but didn't know they made boxes, looks more like a vapor flask mini

K5, O-Ring Lube.png

Upon receiving lube these two O-rings before using. As the Juice Control glides over these two - lubricating them:

1. Make the operations smoother,
2. Prevents the JC getting stuck

Anyways, one more day, FedEx should be here tomorrow and I can see what this K5 is all about...this is really what I had wished the K4 was...it's got external AFC and intuitive juice control (screw down to close, unscrew to open, like it should be lol).

There gonna be a Qorax Review going up soon?!? :)

What I currently do is I lay the coil (which is still wrapped around the mandrel) on my deck. I grab the tail and wrap around the screw then take the tail and wrap around the mandrel a couple times to hold it in place while I cinch up the screw. Works great.
Bronze, why didn't you ever tell me about this trick?
I can make the prettiest coil you ever did see -- and mangle it to heck and back, trying to get the legs screwed down. I can't wait to try this!

Subscribed. Always fun to have two Robin's in the same thread. :)
