Ok the KF5 might...JUST MIGHT have a place in my daily rotation.

Lightning Vapes makes a Clapton wire, of 36g Kanthal wrapped on a single core of 28g Kanthal.

So I used a 5/64 drill bit, made 4/5 wraps, for a 1.0 ohm coil.

Fired at 15 watts with Boost on 2

Finally got good flavor on this thing.

Also, I've got NO airflow restrictor installed, and I'm running on stock airflow ONE.

Sorry, not too creative with my staging, but it's here, and I love it. .
The draw seems just right for me. At least that's my initial impression.

Ummmm, open? Wide open I suppose. Well, closed just enough that the deck stays put.
ETA: I answered the JFC setting.
AFC setting, I'm still playing with. I think I like it in the furthermost downward position. But, like I said, I'm still playing with that.

I didn't read the instructions yet. I just figured it was basically like my 3.
Going to read it all over tonight.
ETA: Have read the instructions, and have read at the site.
I had already read at the site when they were released, but have re-read the info.


No, it's a DIY home brew. A mixture of French Toast and Sticky Bun....the coil will be gunked by tomorrow.

I was too quick when I placed that order and didn't even think to grab any juice.
Saw someone post about their Gooey Butter Cake, and just kicked myself.

It was 3/32", and we had actually discussed it early on in this thread.

Oh, just the single coil. 8 wraps, 28 ga., on the 3/32" drill bit. 1.7 ohm.
I just only wrap single coils.

You have been a good friend to me through the years here!
I am truly thankful for your good advice, and steering me this direction, and also to Bronze who has helped me so much with the coil info!!
I'd prob still be vaping (and rebuilding) my original Kanger ProTanks without you all. (well, maybe not, but...)
