Told myself I wouldn't get it, as already got 4 primes, but the urge was to strong, and have a black nunchaku I want to use it on.

    Don't tell the wife :sneaky:

Wouldn't want to be you when she finds out. And she WILL find out. They always do.

Glad you got it working!! So when I was describing the special Dt's for the wave tank, they dont require the adapter and shorten the height considerably, here again is a pic of how it looks. In the pic, both are special tips, but one is shorter and I bought a couple before buying the longer ones which I like much better. If you are interested, I can give one to you because I simply dont use them. The dimensions for the short one is 10mm in height by 10mm diameter by 5mm bore. The longer one that I prefer is 12mm height x 10mm diameter x 4mm bore. It would be no problem to send if you would like

    That’d be awesome! [emoji3526]

I bought my spare glass from FT, as the glass tank that came with the prime didn't seem very high quality anyway, to me was surprised how weak and rough the glass was that came with the prime, I actually think the glass they made for the extension kit is better quality.
I wouldn’t say the glass is poor quality, however I completely agree the extension is a far superior quality. I’m a big observant of details. And if you read on their website, the glass for the 2ml Prime is listed as plain old borosilicate, while the kayfun 5 glass which is the same as the extension kit on the Prime, is ‘Quartz’ glass. Personally I can feel the difference.

But glass is glass I suppose, if it’s dropped it’s likely gonna shatter.

Exactly. I’m no clone fan but I draw a line at $9 for OEM glass when I know it wont last but 4-6 months.

I’m not one to be trusted with glass! Apart from the Kayfun 4, I’ve managed to break a piece of glass on almost every Kayfun since. So I decided a while ago steel is best suited to me. Currently running the extension kit and the bulbous tank from the K5.

The smaller/thinner steel at each end of the main tank section means this Kayfun Prime now holds an incredible 7ml. A bit tall for my liking but handy if heading out for a long time.

Since I've got the Kayfun Prime DLC Nite on the way. I decided to switch up my current Prime. Took off the PEI kit, and put the extension tank on. To my surprise, it's a bit airy, and not as warm. I can only assume it's due to the length of the chimney, and how much further it is from the coil. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I'm sure it will be cooler as the vapor travels longer thru the cooling effects of the chimney as you allude.

Do you steep it (dragons fire) or is it good to go? Delivery coming today.
I personally prefer at least a couple weeks on it. I've had it out of the mailbox but it's fairly raw IMO. But everyone is different. Not sure how big a bottle you bought but if it's big enough, try it out of the box and then try it again in a couple weeks. Mine is always 6 - 8 weeks old before I crack the bottle because I keep a larger inventory.

Tip: Pull the cap and dripper and let it breath overnight. They use alcohol in the extraction process and there is always a trace of it in your mix. Let the alcohol evaporate out. Also, shake the bottle when you think of it. It will get darker with age. Totally normal.

Thanks, yeah I ordered 50ml for the price I figured why not? Will take your advice and try some out the mail box as a benchmark and let the rest steep a couple weeks

Yep, 50mls will give you an ample quantity to fairly judge it. IMO it improves with age. I think most people agree.

It will smell like soggy coffee grounds but don't let it fool you. It doesn't taste that way. :)

Definitely try it both ways, but I actually prefer it fresh, right away. I rarely do vape it right away because I buy a couple 100 ml bottles at a time , put them straight into fridge. I then take out 30mls and vape that, so the stuff in fridge is weeks old by the time I get to it, but i still prefer it fresh, but that impossible to really do when you stock up. I always stock up a couple times a year when they run the 20 percent discounts. The stuff I put in fridge does steep I suppose, by stays fresher then just leaving the whole bottle out at room temp. I once kept the entire 100ml bottle out , which lasts me like 4 months(because I vape many other flavors in different tanks every day) and after like 2 months the flavor to me gets less sweet and more tobacco forward, which I dont like as much

I have always felt this too and because I prefer a more intense TH and a warmer vape, I prefer smaller 2ml rtas.

Yeah, same here. The plan is to keep the Kayfun Nite in a 2ml configuration, and the older Prime with the extension, and grab it on those long nights where I'm too lazy to refill it.

I certainly haven’t noticed it any airier with the extension. But yes it is a bit cooler with the distance to the coil being greater.

It’s one of the things I love about the Prime - so customisable. Steel, glass, Ultem, extension, wave tank. The options are endless.
