Prefilled 555 and RY4 cartos and were from vaporkings

started out trying RY4 from the same vendor due it was almost impossible to get from BWB ....there were so many great reviews bout RY4 I just thought I had to try it no matter where it came from....mistake

check out what other's experiences are with juices here and here--overall, folks tastes buds are different but you will see recurring flavor/vendor recommendations that can be very helpful

Good advice from all the previous posters.. Im a newbie myself, vaping for 3 weeks and love it.. Only thing I can tell ya is try different juices from different vendors. Check out the PIF forum here. Research different companies and reviews on the forums.. You WILL find something you like, Id stay away from the tabacco flavors personally. Still havent found anything I like at all besides menthol. Fruits and coffees are good. You may want to check out vaporbomb, KBV, purevapes... BWB all good vendors with decent tasting stuff. Just have to find something that suits you! I just got some juice from Mr. E Liquid that Im in love with... lots of flavor, smooth vaping. Just make sure whatever route you go to order sample sizes and get a variety!

I havent tried cartomizers or dripping myself but I have found Im very happy with carts using the bluefoam mod. You can find plenty of info here on it :) Good luck to you and welcome to vaping! Once you get a handle on what you enjoy it will start to come naturally and you'll never look back!!!

The experience of the majority of new vapers will be to initially use the cartridges, mess around for a while with blue foam, Lipton tea bags, and/or polyfil, then upgrade to cartomizers, only to realize a few weeks or a couple months later that they can't stand the filler taste anymore and are tired of the hassles of refilling cartos and having to buy cartos frequently, after discovering that cleaning them doesn't work because the fillers and built-in atomizers wear out after being refilled several times, and then they'll finally upgrade to dripping into atomizers, when they'll discover that dripping is the method that results in the best flavor, best vapor, and best vaping experience with the lowest amount of hassle. In my case, switching to dripping happened when I started buying flavorings, PG, and VG, so I could make my own juice, which will save lots of money by not having to buy pre-mixed juices and cartomizers.

Taste is subjective. For instance, my parents loved brussel sprouts. I think they taste like crap.

Mort,
I got lucky with the juice that came with my kit. I actually liked the tobacco-ish flavor and lucked out with the niccotine strength I picked. I think, once you find a juice you like at the strength you like, you'll prefer e-cigs to analogs.

Allyn

I too got pretty lucky with the tobacco that came with my Cignot 510 kit. It definitely isn't like an analog, more like a cigar taste. I told myself when I ordered my kit, I'd ONLY get tobacco flavored juice, but I already put in an order for some caramel and coffee flavors.

exactly; i agree how this goes and that learning to drip is the ultimate in the realm of vaping.
Many have gone back to carto's so that's the second best. considering flavor, and burning filler...
But dripping takes a while to get the hang of, so experiment between those two...
you'll get lots of advice on all at ecf. best forum.

as far as easiest; cartos. so if you don't want to be frustrated ....

I have noticed alot of people end up dripping, personally I think it would get irritating to have to constantly drip. With the foam there is no weird taste to me.. and I dont have to top off that frequently, and it wicks well. Who knows, I may drip at some point but I dont see it happening. To each there own.

The previous posters have already covered it, but I'll add my two cents anyway. Try more flavors before giving up. I started with non-tobacco flavors and after two months and 40 or so different flavors, I finally found one I could vape all day and not get tired of after a few hours. Oddly enough, it was a tobacco flavor that finally got me.

I'd suggest heading over to the Pay It Forward forum and get involved in some trades. People will help you out when you're new and don't have a lot, if anything, to trade. That's how I found my daily vape. I never would have purchased it if I hadn't got the chance to try it for the price of handing off some flavors I wasn't fond of to someone else.

I used to think it would be way too much hassle to drip. I used blue foam no more than one time and decided to stick with cartomizers back then, which work so much better than cartridges -- and I didn't want to waste time with the hassles of foam and cartridges, nor did I want to vape the lousy taste from cartridges and foam. But now that I drip all the time and have discovered there's actually much less hassle dripping than using cartos -- and much better flavor, I can't bring myself to use cartos again. I'll be interested in knowing what you use to vape in about two or three months. I have no doubt that it won't be cartridges and blue foam, so you might not want to say "I don't see it happening," "never," and especially "To each their own."

Im kinda glad to see that no one mentions feeding pv's... only because they are not as simple as it looks.
There are currently only bottom feeders on the market starting with the Wetbox and goin up from there in price and durability.
A new Top feed auto matic drip PV is coming up soon and it is the state of the art in electronics... 3rd gen PVs. IF this works it may be the way of the future.
The current feeders being sold, Most love them and they are selling faster than they can be made, but they do require experience in vaping as the bottom feed system can take some expertise and there is still the issue of flooding the atty.

IMO dripping is a better vape... it is 100% controllable so you get just the right amount of juice for the particular atty and voltage in just the right spot.

Good job Mort. Stick with it. Its a matter of finding your sweet spot. I have an ego passthrough and its one of my best buys for vaping at home and I drip while at home. I use regular 510's when I am out and about and I use carts (no dripping and driving!). I think once you played with you juices for a while you'll be in love like the rest of us. If you have a hobby savings... kiss it good by! As you become more experienced and things make more sense you'll be spending like the rest of us. Also get used to stalking your mailman ;). Always remember to keep extra batteries and carts or cartos or Atomizers (which ever you stick with) on hand. Couple of chargers will be good too. Besides off juices, the other big thing that will get in the way of staying off the analogs is equipment issues. I tell everyone that! Make sure you have enough of everything you need.

exactly.... don't get caught without backup... it's hell !!!
Always have enough back-up supplies of everything needed including an extra batt charger if you are using a pv that has rechargeable Li-ions or IMRs.

In the end, you will either 1. Love vaping 2. not love it, but depend on it to keep off of analogues 3. go back to analogues... or 4. Quit everything.

You may want to re-read my post, because I never said never. In fact I went out of my way NOT to say never, because "who knows"
Thanks for the spelling correction. I noticed it after I posted, but I was too lazy to go back and correct it. Probably the same reason I dont drip. What works well for one person most assuredly will not work with everyone. For every majority there is a minority. You say you only tried the foam once. Well I've been using it for a week. I sill love it. I know another person on here using a dense polifil who has been vaping considerably longer than I and they are still loving that. I dont think the OP was asking for a detailed analysis of dripping vs carts vs carto's. You gave your opinion on what could improve "their" experience based on your own, which I will admit is greater than mine. I gave my opinion. Thats what this is about. Done.

Purchased a Riva, some 555 and RY4 pre-filled cartomizers and some RY2 juice and blank cartomizers. Over the last two days, I've tried all three. This was some of the worst tasting stuff I've ever put in my mouth, much less in my lungs. Doubt that I'll continue my foray into ecigs after such a bad start.

Anyone else have such a rough beginning?

I had a rough start....there's a lot to take in with all the options out there. #1 is finding a juice you like! I've never vaped a pre-filled cart that I liked. Don't give up, you'll have to try a lot of different juices before you find the ones you enjoy vaping.
