Today I have taken a whole can of Frost Snus and added 1 1/2 oz Vodka into a 3 oz shot glass. I wrapped the shot glass in plastic wrap twice and then wrapped in in aluminum foil twice to keep any light out.

I think I will place it in an area that receives some sun in the morning hours.

Any advice on the next steps???

I was thinking to leave it sealed for one week to 20 days and then follow some advice from this thread.

Excited about the possibilities. Thanks to all for this forum and your input.

Is there a risk involved in using Everclear and/or vodka in one's e-liquid mix?

i imagine that it could kill an atty if you used too much. alcohol burns at a much higher temp than water, and hell water burns at a higher temp than Glycerine(VG) or PG. so i also imagine that adding too much water may get some odd tastes out of your atty depending on what kind it is, and too much alcohol can burn your atty up.

i dont know that limits to cuting with distilled water or alcohol, however i would reccomend keeping the water below 15% and the alcohol below 5% of what your cutting.

I'M RIGHT HERE
i recieved those free snus coupons also. went and got 3 free tins of them. tried a few didn't care for them.
got a deal on some juice , supposed to be 36 menthol, but tastes nothing like what i have been getting from my other juice suppliers, no throat, good vapor but it just doesnt seem right. compared it to my other juices and it is a darker color. i guess you get what you pay for, anyway i was wondering if i might take the nasty juice and soak my 2 tins of snus in it for a week or to maybe i can get something vapable out of it ??

VERY interesting thread!

For those interested in working with natural tobacco, and/or organically grown tobacco that's had no chems used whatsoever in its production, you might check out the RYO offerings from American Spirit:

nascigs.com

Has anyone thought about contacting them to make e-juice for us?

My guess is they would wait until they see that the FDA is not inclined to carry through with a ban. If American Spirit sees the path cleared, it wouldn't surprise me for them to jump into the e-juice business earlier than the majors do.

E-cigs definitely have the potential to go mainstream enough that the major companies (even PM) will see the handwriting on the wall and begin tooling up for the juice business.

I read somewhere that 50% or better of Americans would like to enjoy nicotine were it not for the health implications associated with all previous modes of delivery. So if vaping were to steer clear of a ban, there could eventually be an uptick in tobacco demand, which would sure be a godsend for our tobacco farmers.

I guess that could mean that my first test listed a couple entries above might have too much vodka in it?

I have about 10 cans of snus that I recieved free when buying analogs. plenty more for other tests. :p

Hey - here is how to do a tincture or extraction with pure VG

I'm really interested in this technique, but I'm confused about one thing. When it talks about the strength of the glycerine being 50% or 75%, does it mean to simmer the liquid until it is reduced, or to add distilled water to dilute it?
Thanks for all of this great information! I really think you are on to something good.

This is my first post on the forums, so hello everyone. I have been a member for a little while and been reading all the information, but finally have a good reason to post. I stumbled upon this thread and decided to experiment myself. I have come up with a recipe that works really well for me and tastes pretty good.

The ingredients I bought were as follows:
1 Gallon of Propylene Gycol, U.S.P. purchased at Tractor Supply for $18.91
2 3.7mL bottles of LorAnns Butter Rum purchased at WalMart for $2.00
1 tin of Camel SNUS purchased at gas station for $2.11
1 50ml bottle of 80 proof Absolut Vanilla Vodka which I got for free from my mother-in-law

First I got a 4oz baby bottle, we had a bunch of them in the house and I figured the plastic should be safe for mixing, since it is safe for a baby to drink from it.

I poured 4oz of the PG into the baby bottle. Next I added 10 packets of the SNUS and placed the lid on top. I let it sit for 4hrs, and every 20 minutes or so, I shook the bottle.

After it sat for 4hrs, I removed all the packets of SNUS with tweezers and threw them away. Next I poured out the bottle of Absolut Vanilla Vodka into the sink (I don't drink alcohol anymore, you can drink it if you want ;)) After emptying the bottle, I did NOT wash it out, you want to keep the remnants of alcohol in it.

Next I poured one of the 3.7mL bottles of LorAnns Butter Rum into the Vodka bottle. Then I got my syringe and added 30mL (1 oz) of the PG/SNUS mixture, after shaking it well, into the Vodka bottle. I put the cap back on, shook it vigorously, then let it sit with the cap on for about 10 minutes. I removed the cap after giving it one last shake and let it sit with the cap removed for about 2hrs, put the cap back on, shook it again, then removed the cap, got a dropper, put a few drops on the atty of my RN4081 (NJOY) and :w00t: WHAT A GOOD HIT!!!

If you don't like Butter Rum, then this may not be for you, but the kick is excellent and throat hit is excellent. All this for a little over $20. :)

Sounds good, but... you wasted all that alcohol??? (Just kidding, I don't drink much anymore either.) Let us know how your atomizer likes the mixture.
So far no problems. I know in the LorAnn chart I found that it said Butter Rum was ok to use. The only problem I have, is that I think I need to let it air out a little bit more, to get some alcohol to evaporate out, but it could be because I am a "....." when it comes to alcohol anymore. I used to drink no problem, but now my tolerance is so low that one beer will get me drunk (I know because I have drank since "quitting", it's more of a major cutback, equal to about one beer every 6-12 months) and I am 6' 3" and weigh about 240. :D

Hey guys i know this might sound like a really stupid question but i've been using a pv for a week or so now, and as much as it satisfies me (i dont need to pick up a analog) i still do miss the taste of Marlboro reds, because well thats what i smoked for the past 10 years. I'm just wondering if I were to take a pack of reds, take all the tobacco out of the cigs and soak that it in a combination of pg/vg for sometime, and after straining it would the liquid taste anything like reds when i vape it???
