If it works well for State Farm, other companies may adopt the policy (just like State Farm did). If it works well for all of the corporations, the states may adopt the policy, etc.
It's a chain reaction. The little fish gets eaten by the bigger fish which gets eaten by the bigger fish... In theory, the biggest fish eats what the smallest fish ate. If we don't stop the small fish, we don't stand a chance against the big fish.
Boycotting State Farm probably isn't going to stop them but the whole point behind this thread is to say enough is enough. To quote one of the most influential artists of all time "Get up, stand up. Stand up for your rights"-Bob Marley
You're welcome for getting that song stuck in your head!
So you dont believe they should have the right to not allow things they deem inappropriate on their property? Using the same logic, I should be able to smoke in my car in the parking lot of my childrens school, or vape while sitting in the principals office talking to him. The logic there is flawed...The policy may not be about the "harmful effects" of the products, but the
image of professionalism that State Farm wants to represent.
If it bothers you, dont work for them. Im sure in this economy, they can find 100,000 other people who would be happy to start taking positions even with that policy.
State Farm is a nobody. Changing their mind will in effect, do nothing...just change their mind... If you want the big fish/little fish scenario, go for governement changes...Erasing state farm company policies will in no way, change or make laws.
While I agree with Bob Marley and your reference of him, your example using State Farm is pointless and misdirected.
Probably too late for you, but here, give it a read anyway..

Did you really just link wikipedia in a discussion expecting someone to open it in the first place? Secondly, to take anything in it as fact? Sorry, but I dont open Wiki for any information. Use Real resources please. All we need are people thinking they can show up to a State Farm fight quoting wikipedia articles.
