Yep. The "just wanted to get it out." tells you a lot about his science and his intent.
Agree 100%. I was actually SHOCKED that a purported scientist would make such a statement.

I was rather more interested in this financial piece of that puzzle. We already know the science part is bogus
«If you look at the list of donors declared by each scientist there are two names at the top that are quite significant; these are Michael J Dowd and Patrick J Coughlin, who contributed “philanthropy to support research”. So who are Dowd and Coughlin? Philanthropists? Well, not exactly. They appear to work for this law firm, and have previously been involved in class action suits against tobacco companies.»
Wow...will this eventually be revisited by the media so the real truth comes out? I hope so.
Crap my wife just sent me a text with a web MD link to this study. She is freaking out. How do I convince her its all BS without sounding like a lunatic conspiracy nut? It sounds like I'm in denial, just trying to protect my addiction. This is F%#king bad guys.

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Electronic cigarettes have become the new smoking alternative, but according to a new study, it could actually be more harmful than the average cigarette.
The reason, according to the New England Journal of Medicine, is cancer-causing formaldehyde. It's known to be used as an embalming fluid, and is used in flues for some products like particle board.
It's also, according to researchers, the reason e-cigarettes can be more deadly than a regular smoke.
Bill Genovese said he was a heavy smoker for years until he made the switch to e-cigarettes.
I used to smoke two packs of Marlboro a day and I switched over to e-cigarettes two years ago, Genovese said.
He said he feels better because of the switch.
I feel healthier smoking these, he said. I'm not out of breath like I was with regular cigarettes.
However, researchers said the vapor can cause cancer up to 15 times more than a regular cigarette.
Local doctors called the study scary.
Users can adjust the heat in some e-cigarettes, which researchers said appears to be the problem. The device opens so users can pour in their own fluid, then adjust the temperature.
Experts said they found that the higher the temperature, the higher the risk of a formaldehyde-releasing agent.
The take home is we don't have the data, we don't know how safe this is and you're putting it in these lungs and I caution people to use these and do the treatments we know about, said Dr. J. Craig Allen, medical director at Rushford.
The American Vaping Associating claimed the study is not correct because users would not adjust the temperature that high.
If smokers want to quit the habit, they recommend other options like nicotine replacement therapy or medication.

Ya know, I just noticed something about all of the 'Dem E-cigs Is Gonna Kill Ya' hype. You never see the headlines disproving or exposing the Trash Science that produced these 'Studies'. For that info you have to Dig. Also I get the feeling that BP, BT, BG are getting less creative in their 'Scientific Evidence' the original Formaldehyde Study is over a Year Old. So they are doing Re-Runs now?
Mark My Words:
Once BT is given a monopoly over vaping all of the 'Dem E-cigs Is Gonna Kill Ya' hype will disappear and e-cigs will become 'Gods Gift'.
The BG will extract their Huge Pound(s) Of Flesh and all will be 'Right with the World'.

They're paving the way for regulations that would allow only sealed, disposable, fixed power cigalikes. I.e. BT's products.
