Ditto.
Although the curve of the bent stem is very gentle and looks just right, i too am a straight stem guy, just as the maker of this well thought out classic style good looking e-pipe.

This is my favorite shape/style, the epithome of an e-pipe for me, i would sell my soul for one.
Straight billiard or chimney/saddle mouthpiece
Not made anymore, or at least i was unsuccessful so far to apease the maker to indulge me.

I bet you could manage something like that one - you have the skill and tools, I'm sure.

I'm fine with full auto; my current pipe is, and it's great for driving with. Only problem is that it's so weak, it takes five hours to go through one 3ml tankI hope to get to that point. I keep saying there is more to come and that will be one of them. It will be full auto however. Who knows, DIY kits may take off and custom pipes will be a side gig.![]()

I'm telling you a drop in kit for analog pipe conversion would be a hit worldwide. There would be SO many pipe owners that would want to convert their own pipes.
And of course, there are plenty of people that would want a completely built pipe like yours. I think you would have all bases covered.
To think about it, you basically have a DIY kit already built all you would have to do is add an auto switch to what you have.
My "Emperor" corn cob is waiting....

I too have a large collection of tobacco pipes all packed away. Someday I might pull them all out and make them epipes
Back in the 80's I would have steak, mash patatoes, gravy, cheeze bread for dinner. Then have a big bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup. Sitting at the table, unable to move I would pack my pipe, have a cup of coffee and fill the room with tobacco smoke. Then came the kids and no smoking in the house. 2014--I have grilled chicken (no sauce) green beans (dry) no bread and a fruit salid. I can however sit at the table once again, pull on a pipe and enjoy a cup of coffee after dinner. Don't know what made me think of that but there it is.![]()
I thought about it too. Adapting tobacco pipes into e-pipes.
I like very much both briar and meer and i would like to be able to keep using some of my very old pipes which are big enough to accommodate a 18350 and a carto. The whole experience would feel more genuine, i think.
Identical life experience here. To the letter.
I vape chocolate and vanilla among other flavors (mostly tobacco) in order to stay away from the ice cream/syrup to this day.
I think so, the drop in battery holder has to be as low profile as I can make it. Most pipe bowls are very narrow in the bottom. Drilling out the stem for an adaptor is no problem.
We are members of a very large group. My wife smiles and tells me it's good to see me enjoying a pipe again. You can control time when you have a good pipe in your hand.![]()
Lets throw some ideas out there...
1- Many pipes have a 3/4" bore diameter
2- Many pipes have a less than a 2" bore depth
3- Most DIY'ers dont have equipment such as lathes and drill presses. Many use hand drills and hand tools.
3- The biggest problem with current pipe conversion is drilling 3/4" hole in pipe, cutting 7/8" hole in pipe, cutting, soldering and placement ( glueing) of the bottom terminal in bowl, and then cutting and running another wire to the top metal ring for the top button switch. (aka EPM style) or button switch on side pipe.
4- Current (above) style is time consuming, requires exact cutting on pipe, and requires complete tedious disassembly for potential repair.
5- EPM style does offer easy battery removal by using removable top magnetic button switch.
6- Upon reviewing many posts on different forums, many people would like an auto switch pipe but dislike the unreliability and poor draws. Manual switch offers reliability and stronger draws.
It would seem that a self contained drop in unit with top screw wire terminals, no soldering and possible integrated top switch or pipe bowl cover with a switch would be the logical choice ( I sound like Spock).
This would allow the user to mount the 510 connector in the stem by simply running the wires UP the bowl, drop in MM battery case, cut, strip and screw in the wires, drop in battery, place bowl cover on pipe, Start Vaping!
No magnets, no soldering, minimal glueing, no precision drilling, adaptable to any pipe, multiple battery options possible with future revisions of battery case and totally replaceable and repairable.
This would be the biggest advancement in E-Pipe construction. Period.
All this...along with your already KILLER custom pipes...you would be the Premier E-Pipe Company.
Thanks Machinist..
