Thank you. I'll give that a try.
I think the problem might be coming from the fact that the top part is made of plastic, but not sure why that would effect the A2 since it's metal. Maybe when it gets hot it might be expanding or something because it didn't do it until about a week later. I don't know, just a guess. But glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.

Ok. 15 days from purchase and it's here. That was a LOT faster than I expected.

So is this A-2. I'm loving this thing. I may to have to get 1 or 3 more in the very near future.

So are these really DSE 701 carts? I hope so since I just ordered some. lol

Fastest I've ever heard of....it flew through customs. I've got RN4062's on the way; hopefully one of us is right. lol

Yep, one of you are right.

DSE701 ftw
I don't know if the RN4062 is compatible or not.

Dse701 and Rn4062 are the exact same thing and both are compatible :)

You guys gave me an idea to search for wick instead of rope. I found this site (aftosa.com) sells 1/16" fiberglass wick by the foot for around $0.40
Oh, and the differences between fiberglass and silica are that fiberglass is just that, glass fibers, and silica is a chemical compound of silicone and oxygen (SiO2).
I received this wick yesterday. Cut a piece to the correct length. As it is 2x as thick as the wick you get with the kit I did not loop it. The piece of wick is less than 1/2 as long. Wrapped with the coil wire (2.0 ohms) 5 times, frayed the ends and it seems to be working perfectly!!!!!!!

Second day ... works as good as the first!!

I wash and dry the coil and dry burn it every day. Great flavor The new wick seems to be much cleaner than the original.

Have a look at a different way of making a wick. Cetin posted this himself on the German forum. I've tried it and it works very well:

Another thing which I do is make a small cap out of ss mesh #400 on top of the filler. It stops the filler from getting discolored and wicks perfectly

This did not work very well for me, it wasnt wicking the liquid as fast as the regular filler. On the other hand I have some of the 1/16th glass fiber wick that was mentioned earlier in this thread and it is working even better than the original wick. I honestly am getting better flavor/taste and it doesnt take long at all to break it in.

@SmaBob - did you notice any difference in flavor? The only reason I don't use my A-2 a lot is because of lack of flavor. Vapor production is awesome though. I thought of doing some DIY and make real strong flavor wise to see if I could get it. If it worked, I would go back to using my A-2 full time and just order extra flavoring to add to my liquids. This is with tobac flavors BTW...

Trouble with the 10yd deal is that it is far more expensive at $11 for 10yd, compared with $29 for 100yd. By the time postage is added, it will cost almost the same as Cetin's stuff. Plus there is the hassle of phoning in international orders.
Kind of ridiculous to add that proviso really.
