...why the heck didn't I switch to using a PV a long, long time ago?! :p

I started smoking four years ago (I know, that pales in comparison to some of you who have been smoking since before I was born). My sister is a nurse and tried talking me into switching to an e cig a long time ago but I was skeptical. It recently came back up in conversation, so I figured I'd give it a shot and ordered my LUX from Modern Vapor last week and all I can say is, "WOW!" I wish I would have had this stuff in Iraq a few years ago when I was burning through two packs a day.

I'm just a few days in and I'm in love with this thing. I just ordered a bunch of cartomizers and a couple e-liquid samplers. Once I find a flavor I really like, I'm going to have to get it in the lowest nic possible because I really just want this thing glued to my face all day. I lit up an analog yesterday just to see how it felt/tasted in comparison and I immediately gagged. That pack is in the freezer and I doubt it will ever come out unless it's going in the trash.

Congrats!!

I recommend checking out BlueMist Vapor. They have a HUGE selection of juices. 250+ premades and 250+ flavors for DIY.
Their prices are great too. $5 for 10ml and $10 for 30ml. They also have sample packs which I recommend you get. For $10 you can get 5 samples of your choice that are 3ml. You wont waste alot of money if you dont like a juice since they are only 3ml. They also offer extra flavor shots for .50cents more. And if you find a juice you really like, you can get a 180ml bottle for $30, which breaks down to $5 for 30ml. Its a really good deal.

Goodluck and welcome to the world of vaping!!

Ok...am I the only one that thinks his user name is one of the coolest ever? Love it!

Also love the fact that you have switched over to an ecig. I think between your sister and your support here, you'll do great and not have any problems. I keep my ecig stuck to my face all the time it seems. Working on getting an upgrade already and I'm less than a month into the vape. Loving it and this forum.

I'm still searching for that perfect flavor and havn't found it yet. Keep hunting and you'll find it.

Good luck and welcome!!

The story behind the username is kind of funny. I was registering on a website a couple years ago and every username I tried was either taken by an existing member or "not unique" because it contained part of my real name or email address. After a couple dozen attempts, I got frustrated and just put in "uniqueusername" as a joke and it actually accepted it. lol

One of my favorite things about here and ya it's corny, but because it's a niche community thus far you can have just about any user name you like. I digg mine. Can ya tell? lol

Glad you found vaping, welcome to the world which is ECF. I STILL have my PV stuck to my face... I just love it so much :p

I need to put this thing down every once in a while or I'm going to run out of the carts that came in my starter kit. New stuff won't be here until Tuesday/Wednesday and I definitely don't want to touch an analog. I walked past someone smoking outside the grocery store about an hour ago and WOW did that stink! I haven't actually smelled cigarette smoke properly since I started smoking. Amazing how unpleasant it is now.

Unique thanks for your service! Welcome to the forum and congratulations to you for breaking a nasty habit!

Heres a question for you; What do cigarettes cost in Iraq for service members?
We were able to pick up export versions of American smokes at the exchange on base when we had the chance to go there. They were priced similar to what you'd see stateside at the time. They were only sold by the carton (which was fine since we had to stock up when we could) and Newports went for around $35.

We would also stop at little shops here and there while on patrol and pick up the nasty smokes they sold if we got desperate. By the end of a carton of those, we'd be coughing up blood. No joke. We'd give the shop owners an American dollar or two and they'd give us a few packs and thank us like crazy for coming in. Gave them a sense of security, I suppose. We would also get their energy drinks, which put American energy drinks to shame. Theirs contain nicotine, ephedrine, and other stuff that probably took a few days off my life. Now that will get you energized! lol
