Hi all,

Well, as I've posted in the past....I did manage to quit analogs completely for two weeks. Then...went on vacation, and gave myself permission to indulge in the real thing. Since I've been home, I have still been smoking 3 or 4 cigs a day. Just can't seem to get back on track completely. I am rationalizing my behavior by telling myself that 3 or 4 cigs a day is way better than over a pack a day, and it is.....but I just don't seem to be able to get past this point right now. It's just weird and frustrating. I am enjoying vaping. I've found a few good flavors that I like, but...not any real tobacco tasting vapes. I don't know...do I like vaping more than I like smoking? In some ways I do, in some ways I don't. I'm just venting hear, and I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

In my professional opinion it appears you are addicted to smoking. *gasp*

Don't be so hard on yourself.. a few smokes a day is not that big of a deal! Just let yourself enjoy the vaping when you do it. It's not a quit-smoking aid, it's just an alternative way to get your nicotine fix.

If it really bothers you so much, get some snus! I hear they kick the smokes right out and they, apparently, aren't bad for you!

Good Luck!

As a former pack and a half a day smoker what worked for me is raising the nic level and having a lot of flavors. I have a couple of flavors that are my go to flavors right now but I keep five or six others at the ready for when I get an analog craving. I quit analogs for over a year once by using snus and figured it was just replacing one addiction for another. When I quit using snus I went right back to analogs.

I got a friend who has only 29% of his heart working. He had surgery to open the veins in his legs and tried vaping. He was down to three cigs a day and the doctor told him that that many wouldn't hurt him.
He didn't take to vaping though and is smoking more so we are all worried about him.
If you can keep it to 3 a day, that's good, just don't do anymore than that.

I have not given up the smokes yet myself, I think it is a combo between not finding the right juice and equipment, not really wanting to, and insanity. Some days I have plenty of nicotine in me, between vaping and the snus, and I just want to have a smoke. Other days, like today I just can't get a carto that seems to vape right for me, my battery on the new disposable 510 I am trying out took a crap, (and when I it was working it was awsome, so I think I need to buy a real 510, little low on cash though) I did smoke well over a pack a day, and even on my worst day vaping the most I have smoked is about 10, and some days only 3-5. So I try to consider every smoke I don't have a win.
I have noticed that I do not have the wheezing in my lungs that I used to have so it must be doing me some good, and the best part is that as long as I have my pv with me I don't freak out about being in a situation that I can't smoke.
So I guess some day, as long as I don't give up the search, I will find the right combination of equipment and flavors that will work for me that I will just forget to smoke again.
So hang in there, my motto is "It's all good"

Thanks guys. I have just mixed together some 18mg. Tennessee Cured, with some 12 mg. Cafe Mocha. Actually quite good. :) It'll give me a boost till I can get something stronger.

I agree. I don't think that 3 cigs a day is such a big deal. But, I went into this with high hopes and good intentions of leaving cigs behind, and I honestly would like to get there and stay there.......PAINLESSLY!!!!

Build a NicoStick (see modder's section) and leave the battery problems behind you.
They’re cheap too.
Believe me, you won’t regret it.

I started with the 510,then tried the 901 but was the same way. Didnt give up. Tried the 401,and thats the one I needed. Very realistic. The draw the flavor the 401. I dont care how many models it woulda took I was not givin up,cuz ANYTHING is better than analogs. Its just that simple. And you really arent doin that bad,2 or 3 is WAY better than a pack, just keep pushin on and dont give up !! And if theres anything I can do,just ask.

I started off with 18 mg and it wasn't enough. Now that I'm on 24 mg I don't smoke anymore.
However, I've only been smoke free for 5 days and today when I went out (accompanied by my vaping equipment) I found a packet of smokes in my coat and left them at home. I'm afraid if I take them with me, I will use them.
I have to say though, when I passed a smoker, the smell of a real cigarette was SOOO good.

I'm still experimenting with liquid. I've tried Malbora Red and now I'm using 555.
I'm not into the fruity liquids, a cigarette has to taste like a cigarette, not like a peach or cup of coffee. That's just my opinion though. Everyone is different.

I cleaned off the leaves from my deck a couple days ago and finally threw out the half pack of smokes that's been sitting out there in the rain etc for a month. I don't know why I let them sit out there for so long, they were certainly ruined after the first big rain. I just couldn't let them go.

I still want a regular cigarette sometimes, but whenever the neighbor lights up I have to run over and shut the windows..lol. That stuff stinks!
