cart cartridges without flanges on the thread end?

My carto tank came with a cartridge with a flange around the thread end so it wont slide through the base.The refills have no flange.Will they still work or did I get the wrong ones?

they should work fine. just don't push the bottom into the tank and dump your juice.

Can you use the protank air flow valve with a carto tank or is that a totally different thing.

They will work fine as long as you remember that it doesn't have the flange. If you push it too far in, you will definitely take a juice bath. Been there, done that!

Just to make sure, do the unflanged cartos have holes in the side?

Just making sure you have punched catos for tanks and not regular unpunched cartos.
