I try never condemn an atty till I have tried more than a few builds in it. I always hope for a great first impression, I get lucky most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't happen. The atty may be just fine, but sometimes I just don't get it right the first several times. I put it aside (throw it against the wall) for a bit and go back to it. Listen to the folks here cause there are plenty of tips about builds and such that get thrown out there. (SX may have done a video ) I had this happen when I got the Veritas, couldn't get it right, put it away for a bit went back to it and got it just by listening here. It's in rotation and doing great. I just got a Tmod and it's the second atty I tried on it. I'm not pushing the Veritas, it's just sometimes I can't make a complete judgment for awhile. I know most of you guys are way ahead of me, I'm just sayin' being an old fart sorta late to the game.

I do like the MantaV2 though, right on the first try, might be worth a second. My vape budget is shot this month and then there's Stumpy

Tom, not sure if I missed the post or if you just didnt see it in this mad house of a thread, but i had seen you mentioned a few posts back about your custom ohm reader with FD 510.... Can I see this little piece of awesome? I have a few FD spares sitting around and would like to build a custom ohm reader some time! One that actually performs flawlessly

Yeah ive seen those. They do work very well, i thought CH had some crazy complete custom built reader. CH your next project should be custom CH ohm readers! Custom built one of a kind and a big ol' cat fish symbol on it!

Sloth.. this morning (with fresh taste buds) I tried the Vector and Derringer side by side, Derringer definitely has much better flavor....for my taste anyway.

Need to try some different builds in the Vector....perhaps lower the ohms a tad and crank up the watts even more.....idunno....prolly won't help, was getting spit-back when I cranked the .55 coil wattage up, may try putting the screen back in.

A couple of Vectorites are liking Vertical coils on it, seen it a few pages back.

The Element Stubbys were just delivered, I opened one and wow! These are authentic Marquis nice! The Stubby is not eligable for payment yet, I need to ship a bunch of orders first. It's been another banner late week/weekend for catfish and I am trying to get everything packed up for Monday. Manufacturers keep telling me that bottom fed is a fad, I just don't see it. Thanks again guys.

The one Varitube sells is the USA 'Ultimate' Ohm Meter. I have one too. Works great. It has a nice floating 510 pin.

I built one of those... The very most frustrating thing I have done in my adult life, the 510 that they sent with it was horrible but I didn't realize as much until a week after I filled the center section with epoxy. The Varitube version is much better. When I bought mine a month ago I would swear to it that the ad said something about a fdv 510. The one on Varitube meets my specs. None of the others did. There are custom ones in Hammond boxes that I'm sure are awesome but at the time I couldn't find any of those available. I would have made my own but I learned my lesson the first time.
