I know it well. I work in Roanoke... not sure what your schedule looks like but I'll echo Tom's offer. If you need a loaner atty or mod and can make it to Roanoke tomorrow or Monday, you can borrow some of my kit.

edit: heck, for that matter, if you can make it to the Rocky Mount area on Saturday you can *have* the Geyscano and atty I received for review. I just need to finish the review on it which should be in the books Friday night.

I am so bummed. I think I ruined my Cyclone atty (bottom-fed) from Tom . I used a screwdriver (I know, I know!) to remove the top part of the atty. Didn't strip the screws completely but it won't screw all the way down (in) on my mod. The screwdriver flattened some of the threads. I know it was stupid. This is what happens when you're a newbie I guess. Live, screw up (pun intended), and learn. Any advice on how I might correct this? Should I take it to a thread doctor (machinist)?

I've only been vaping it a few minutes. I have the screen in. The screen cuts the air flow much more than I thought it would. I'll probably take it out later, to see the difference.
I'm not real comfortable with the tip yet. But it might take some getting used to.

So here's where I'm at. I got home from work and adjusted the 510 in my Peko as far down as I could and still get contact. Put the Manta on it, and it catches enough thread to tighten and stay put. So I'm up and vaping. It's still not right, it should catch more than one thread, or at least in my mind it should. I'm gonna be gentle with it, and order another 510 to replace this one. Hoping that's the issue. We'll find out soon enough. Thanks everyone for your generous offers and advice. We'll see how long it works.

I actually made them with the TURBOwinder deluxe - it's a tool made by turbocad6 and he has a tutorial in the coil build section on how to make it. The one he made me is crazy bad ayuss - it's like Ti

However, Kuro and coil master both emailed me today asking me to review products. The coil master is version 1.3. I hope they took my suggestions into account and used a wider diameter "finger" so "normal" gauge wire like 29-26 can be formed more tightly to the rod and include a second set of rods for installing dual coils.

The TURBOwinder makes the best formed and tensioned coils I've ever wound because it uses those gripping nippers to tension the wire while squeezing it to the rod. It's beast

I ordered a coil-master....seems like a decent tool kit for making coils, been using the pins from the Marquis', which work nice, just too small, but great for holding coils in place while tightening.....

My Vectors should arrive tomorrow and I will have them built tomorrow night.
I will let everyone know my opinions but I think its going to be a winner!
Also please someone tell me the size of these m3 grub screws for the Vector.
By the way, where does one by this extension for the drip tip?

I took the screen out, and I like it better. I may go see one of my local buddies tomorrow, who makes custom TruStone and acrylic drip tips, and see what we can come up with for an insert.
