Hello,

Friday my provari fell and the bottom of my protank got stuck in my provari. In a panic I bought an SVD at a great price while my Provari got repaired.
Suprisingly the SVD exceeded my expectations and I am loving this thing. I find it gives alot more vapor than my Provari and the possibility of changing wattage is a huge plus.
Im just curious if there is anyone out there who has bought the Provari because of its reputation but found better with other mods at half the price.

Cheers

It's funny... but I've got no interest at all in owning a Provari. Granted, they are well made, durable and very attractive mods (I came this close to buying one)... but I think they're behind the curve right now. I suspect that Provape will not be sitting on their laurels for long, and come out with a super-vapin' VV-VW mod... then I'll take a new and hard look at their products again.

Speaking of the SVD... yes, they rock. In fact, right now, IMO, Innokin is leading the pack in reasonably priced, feature packed mods, with sigelei hot on their tails.

My local shop always jokes about how people purchase a mod simply due to it's price. They mentioned that the customers who spend less on their mods by purchasing clones or cheaper mods also spend their saved cash on higher quality liquids and tanks. Those customers are usually pleased with their overall vaping experience.

I like the SVD a lot but no, I still get.better results from the Provari. But, like I said, I'm very pleased with the SVD. It's a great device, especially for the price.

Can I ask a favor? Drop your svd the same way and get a protank base stuck in it.

Bet they wont repair it as cheap and it might even be physically damaged to the point of no repair possible.

What about those of us who spend our cash on higher quality liquids, tanks AND mods? :D

kinda odd since its the device not the mod that makes the vapor. if using vw the chance of actually running at a higher voltage may be causing this.

but I think they're behind the curve right now. I suspect that Provape will not be sitting on their laurels for long, and come out with a super-vapin' VV-VW mod.

Provape has expressed repeatedly they have no interest in vw. and with their stock moving the way it does i wouldnt either. the real issue is the amount of engineering cost for a new chip for a slight increase in sales

Other devices arent worse then provari they just work differently. not sure how this belief became so saturated here. the provari does have many advantages but it doesnt mean that automatically makes the cheaper mods terrible and I believe everyone should buy the device that fits what your looking for and what appeals to you ad there is nothing wrong with that.

personally i find very little that gives me the same quality of vape as my provari. my vamo is a multi meter and i gave away my zmax a while ago.

Very true... Provaris are well known for both durability and Provape's excellent customer service and repair. That alone, for a large number of the vaping community, is justification for the purchase.
If I ever were to drop my SVD on to a hard surface... I don't have great confidence in it's survival. Being an engineer, I may be able to fix it... but then again, there's a better chance I'd have to replace it.

Credit where credit is due and all that shiz, eh. ;-)

rounding third and heading home...
you can get a custom mod with a dna20 chip for a lot less than a provari- vape anything you want and have much longer times between battery changes. feels better in you hand and much more pocket friendly. customer service and repair is also just fine , thank you. I don't get nickeled and dimed on extensions or any part they want to sell. nope, never saw the need for a provari.......

I've got a few of those too. They're also very good and I enjoy them.

I always thought it was the delivery system of the juice that mattered, not the battery. A battery either works or doesn't. Either maintains voltage, or doesn't. Other than that, it is the tank or delivery system that really makes a difference.

I'll probably buy a ProVari, mainly because it is assembled in the USA and its looks, not because it will deliver a mind blowing vaping experience.

I have several APV's. Yes the SVD is a really nice device, especially for the money. Innokin, seems to be leading the charge in regard to mass produced devices.

Having said that, the ONLY mod of mine that comes close or even maybe on par with my Provari's as far as performance is my NIVEL mod. It isn't just a battery. There ARE factors that differentiate Provape versus the others. Watch any MOD review by Pbusardo when he uses the scope. Those differences that Provari owners rave about are partly in the chip used, as it delivers regulated voltage better than most any other device.

People will enjoy what they enjoy, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. It just makes for some interesting conversation. Those who sub ohm vape find the Provari useless, and thats fine too. Really to each his own!

To date I believe only the Cyborg offers it in a tube, but remains considerably MORE expensive.than even a full blown Provari kit.

Duggout Mods is a nice.middle ground. Not quite a tube but not.exactly.a.box either. There's another of.similar shape but I can't remember the name right now. It was in the $120 range, if my memory serves me.

So voltage can fluctuate in other mods? That would make a ProVari the only choice for a high-end mod for me.
If you haven't seen Pbusardo's device reviews, check a few out. He can explain far better than I ever could. A lot of devices tail off as far as accuracy goes. rather interesting. Thrasher or Bad im sure can explain much better. Maybe they can chime in.
