So youre 1 of the people who only likes freedoms, that suit you. Anybody has the freedom to take a picture of anything/anybody they want in public. Why would you hurt somebody for expressing their freedom, just because you dont like it.

Ok you think taking pictures of strange children without parental permission is expressing freedom. (I vehemently disagree BTW)
They can express their freedom and then I will express my freedom.
Its all good brah.

Well I vape around my kids. Maybe that's bad, maybe its fine.

I whole heartedly believe it is better than puffing on a cigarette in the car with them while driving down the road.
I openly talk with my children about smoking, about why I vape, and the various reasons they should avoid both as they grow up.

I do find it a little humorous that the OP talks about being in the vape lounge to avoid being judged and then judges another.

Last time I went to a local vape shop there was a 7-8 years old kid asking questions about the juice bottles that were on display. The shop employee answered his questions as if he were a normal customer... I think the kid was only waiting for his parent to park the car as I saw his dad walk into the store a few minutes later. The shop has a «18 and over» sign displayed but still, it made me feel very uneasy. I can only hope the shop does not sell to minors. There were a few customers inside the shop and they kept on vaping as usual even though a kid was there.
I don't think parents should bring their children to vape shops or cafes, just like they shouldn't bring them to bars or casinos.

It is an adult entertainment. Not bad at all, but adult.

Yes, vaping is adult entertainment; but bottom line, for most of us anyway, is that it's an addiction. Don't get me wrong, I love to vape. But I vape because I don't want to smoke; and I smoked because I'm addicted to nicotine. Nicotine is a narcotic. It's a legal narcotic; but a narcotic, none the less. Given the choice, I'd rather my children not become addicted to either.

I think there also is a big difference in the scenario where a parent brings their kid into the vape lounge while they are there for a few minutes to purchase an item, versus the scenario where a parent brings their kid into the vape lounge while they are there for a couple of hours hanging out with his buds blowing clouds. I wouldn't have an issue with the former, but I would have an issue with the latter.

Very good Alien! Now - let's suppose i have in fact vaped that something which is 9 times safer than a cigarette...how much safer is what i exhale to a bystander, which is after all what this is all about?

We cannot know for sure you say, but 9 times safer? 90 times?

We are talking not about some abstract bystander, we are talking about children. Children tend to watch their parents and repeat parent’s mistakes. So, what if vaping is just 9 times safer than smoking? In this case I do not want see my (or any other) children vaping, even when they grow adults.

And we really do not know about safety of vaping – there was practically no proper research. In my ballpark estimate e-cigs should be 10-1000 times safer. Yes, it is rather big ballpark…

P.S. I removed your link, site it connects to is hijacked by malware.

I don't think it's any of my business if a parent takes a kid into a vape shop. But I would be uncomfortable, and I wouldn't go back to that shop. I felt the same way with tobacco shops. If I saw kids hanging out in a tobacco store full of cigarette smoke, I didn't go back to that shop. Parents and shop owners can do what they want, but I won't support it.

Children are smarter and more aware than most adults give them credit for. It's darn near impossible for parents to successfully hide much of anything from their child(ren). IMO, it is far better for a parent to be open and honest about his or her failings than to pretend they don't exist.

Could you please enumerate the criteria based on which one can make the decision on whether an activity is "adult entertainment" or not?

Yea, I'm stuck on this as well. The convenience store sells beer and cigs, is that an adult business? In FL, you can take your kids to the bar with you up until 9:00PM. You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun and 18 for rifles (from licensed dealers) does that make the gun store an adult business that a kids should not be in?

One of the vape shops I frequent also sells little miniature cars and motorcycles (almost toy like).to me, this puts them in the same category as the convenience store (some age restricted items, some for everyone).

About the only place I really consider an adult business is one that sells "adult novelties" (aka marital aids)
