I wish we had a Monastery or some ruins, that just looks like a beautiful place to walk around and explore. :)
It is a beautiful place. I have been all around the grounds and the woods and have even been in most areas of the 2 remaining main buildings. I should post some of the pics, that I said I would post, last night.

After work I went to the market the owner is my "boyfriend" long story but that is what we call each other. Anyways I went up to the checkout and my co-worker is at the first register and I see my "boyfriend" on the 3rd register. I tell my co-worker who had a buggy full of stuff "Your holding up the line, I'll just go over here and let my boyfriend check me out!" I didn't mean it that way but it was hilarious!!! He just said "Well come on over here and talk dirty to me"

Did he check you out? Did you talk dirty to him? Never mind, daughter, papa doesn't want to know.

Maybe I need to have a talk with that young man. Set some rules, if he is going to flirt with my Princess. :p

I wish you would post the pictures I would love to see that.

And no he didn't check me out "that" way, we get a laugh out of it the boyfriend/girlfriend thing. It's a long ago joke. I cut up with all of them in there. And the best compliement I ever got was my "boyfriends" dad who has retired but still helps out in the store sometimes. I'll cut up with him too. He told his son " I just enjoy when she comes in here, she's like a little ray of sunshine, I've never not saw her smiling and happy." That was sweet of him. :)

A story you'll get the humor in is I once told the preacher as I tapped on his lapel, "I'm fixin to turn you on." I meant the microphone but my brother in law was standing there and died laughing and said "You never know what is going to come out of her mouth. Just remember us in your prayers." I just gave my BIL a dirty look and said "Oh Ha Ha" sarcastically. :p

LOL, I'm starting to get the impression that you are a bit mischievous.

Ha! Just now Papa? I have a couple of customers that call me "trouble". I have one elderly woman who always seemed mad, she never smiles and she is sharp tongued. It was my mission to get her to open up and smile. I finally realized she just likes to argue, it is enjoyment to her. So one day when she came in I said "Well come on over here you old battle axe let's get this over with!!" She fussed at me and I fussed right back at her. She left smiling and enjoys coming to me. She either calls me "trouble" or "meaness". And if I'm not there she will ask "Where's ole meaness at." :)

Some pics:

This is one of the two remaining buildings. The monks cut the stones, from a quarry on the property. To the right of the building, you will see a small part of a tan building. That's new library building. When it was built, they wanted it to blend in with the old monastery buildings, but it doesn't even come close. I call it the "eyesore".

Is Lis ....Lizzie? I've met so many people this last week it's a little hard for me to keep everyone straight. I'll get better I promise. :)

No, Lis is an occasional visitor, a friend of Jerry's. He's Cuban and likes to flirt. I bet you would be up to it. I think he would be fun for you and vice versa, but maybe I'm wrong. Ask Terry about Lis. He said he was in love with her, but now I think he's got a new interest, someone in Syracuse who is on Facebook.

The monastery building is beautiful. I agree, what I can see of the library doesn't fit at all. It probably would have been too expensive to build it of the same stone. Still, so often these attachments people add to old buildings clash. Thanks for the pics.
Sandy, when the original building and the church burned down, the stones were saved from them. Some have been put to other uses on the property, but most have been stored in the basement of one of the surviving buildings. They could have used those stones for the library, but they didn't. The windows, the walls, even the roof of the library doesn't match the old buildings.
