Lizzie, great photos! I really liked the one of the lake and the sun dazzling the mountaintop. I'm sorry your stove didn't work well. Did you find out what's wrong? Can it be fixed? I'm glad you had fun anyway and at least got it working well enough that you didn't starve. Did you see any of those golden trout?

This is only one battery array, there is a second one behind the camera.

Went to the village yesterday, had to rebuild a lan network on my aunt's school. Took a few pics, There are horses free running around the village, even inside the river.

Why are the horses running free instead of enclosed? Don't gardeners object if the horses get into their veggies and trample and eat them?
No not really, why not free? They have owners and a lot of them are in stables and fields but they help with the wild weeds and don't harm anything at all, all gardens have fences and the corn/wheat fields are at some distance.
Plus it's nice to see horses so no one complains, they stay out of people.

Correct me if I am wrong, Trit, but most people living in European villages have deep roots in those villages, and nearly everyone is related to others living there. No-one would think of anything such a thing as horse-theft.

That's so nice. Here, if a horse is loose, it means trouble. First, it could get out in a busy road and cause an accident, and then it might get hurt on something, like someone's fence that's not safe for horses or junk or machinery on someone's property. Also, lots of people don't have any idea about horses, and they could get hurt fooling with them. For all those reasons and more I can't think of, horses are contained here in pastures, not allowed to roam free.

Well i can understand in populated areas they can cause trouble, here in the city (we are located on the edge) we have one horse loose, but it only goes on the hills and near the stable causing no harm or anything else.
Thieves prefer motorcycles or cars, no one steals a horse lol (what to do with it?) and horses are protected by laws here, if you harm a horse they will lock you in, you cannot also abuse it but anyway no one thinks that horses are bad, even if they don't use it for anything really. This village has people from many different cultural backrounds but they all get fine along.

KInda makes me wonder how they survived all those centuries without us to take care of them lol. True they didn't have cars back then but plenty of other hazzards.

A lot of the hazards are man-made, and, in fact, feral horses don't live as long as domesticated ones that are protected, fed better, and given all sorts of medical care. Horses survived when they had more open land -- and they still do in certain places -- but human population growth has made that open space less available to horses.

There are still feral dogs and wolves and coyotes running loose, but people generally don't let their dogs run in populated areas, either.

Ohmygosh! We finally got to see Lizzie!!! It was good to see you, my friend! And I'm glad that you had such a nice camping trip in spite of the regulator on your cookstove. Beautiful photos too!

Speaking of photos - Yours were really wonderful too, Sandy! The last one with the sun peering through the dark trees was especially awesome!

Celti!! Congratulations of becoming a Vet!!! I'm so sorry that I missed the party. :( I was camping this weekend too and I usually lay low for a day afterwards in order to get my bearings back.

I'll write about my camping trip in the morning and show you some photos. Nothing spectacular. Just normal stuff like I usually post. But tonight I'm tired and need to get some sleep. Just wanted to pop in and say "Hi". :D

You are adorable, as always, Trit. That is a lot of batteries. You live in a nice place. Love the critter photos.

Lizzie...glad you had a good time and those were some very nice pics. It's nice to finally have a face to go with your name and a very attractive face to boot. It was good to see you two relaxing for once. :)

Trit...same as above (about your face). :p Very attractive.

We do have an adorable group here in Voltville.

Good morning/afternoon, Voltpeeps.

I agree, Lizzie is cute. :)

Thanks, Jer.

Yes, Evie, I took a vacation:) Made me laugh.
