What about these? DuluthFlex Fire Hose 5-pocket Canvas Jeans - Duluth Trading They say "fire hose" so I think they must be that material, right? That's what I'm thinking Bill might try.

I'm not certain, but I think that those may be the exact pants that Terry got for working out in the woods. It may also be the ones that the younguns get. Can't ask 'em because they aren't upstairs. I can ask them in the morning. :)

I'd appreciate it. And, Terry, if you are here, could you tell me which ones you got?

The kids & I got different ones than you linked. They have the big front pockets plus pockets on the side of the legs. I can post a link tomorrow 'cause I don't know how on my phone & I just got in bed.

You need to wear longjohns under them in cold weather because they don't trap body heat very well which will be nice in the summer.

Uncle, I assume (and you know what that can do) that it warmed back up down your way.

Our driveway is a virtual skating rink. Ice from one end to the other. Bo doesn't even want to walk on it and he has "four wheel drive". I can manage, but it can be dicey. I put some sodium chloride out and it looks like I didn't do anything. It is kind of hollow and cracks as it's walked on, but it's still a pain. We had bright sun for most of the afternoon and that didn't help either.

"You" Sir - Assumed correctly, the weather here has warmed up and has been quite decent for the past couple of days . . . The only thing is that in less than 48 Hours I will be up there in "Your" area . . . SO - Hopefully, when "You" find the time after getting rid of the Ice Rink in the driveway, maybe Ya' will also clear off 95 & 29 so I can make it to New Hope in one piece without sliding all over the roads . . . "You" Can Do - YES ? ? ? ;)

Or - I will have to bring "My" Iceskates too . . .

(BTW: Continued "Local Weather Report" would be very appreciated . . . THANKS :) )

Better yet - I hit him below the belt by implying that he wasn't as brave as his mother. See my post above. I know. It was dirty pool. But, a mother's gotta do what a mother's gotta do. He still hasn't gone yet though.
I mean, c'mon. The guy gets shot twice in one day by a nail gun, and he's afraid of a syringe?

AH - Now if Ya' played the "Father" card, I bet he would go get the shot . . . Just remind Him that if he does get eventually get "Tetanus" because he will not go get the shot now, he could not only get lockjaw and have muscle spams so bad that he breaks his bones - Since it attacks the "Central Nervous System" and Effects Blood Pressure - He Could Eventually Either Permanently Get & Have "Erectile Disfunction" - Or Even Worse BECOME "STERILE" TOO. . . Now - That is how Ya' hit below the belt . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Regarding you! How's everything going?

Sandy, I washed them when I got them in cold water and noticed no shrinkage. If they were washed in hot water they might shrink. The ones you are looking at seem to be the same material but without the patch pockets, utility pockets, on the upper thighs. They also have tool loops on the side seams of the thighs and at the hips so if Bill uses hand tools they might be a better choice.

These are the ones I got an they're on sale at the moment -
Men's Ultimate Fire Hose Cargo Work Pants - Duluth Trading

Local weather report - It's 2 degrees again this morning with bright sun and temps in the 20's predicted for today and the res of the week. Sunday it may warm up a bit, 30's, and Monday may get into the 40's but with rain.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Pants on fire?? Nice pants awsum! I would prefer black if they have it but i guess it matches better for work at home.
50 bucks doesn't seem so cheap. My uncle uses 5 euro pants, he destroys them fast anyway. I keep them for 1,5-2 years.

Too much stress since you asked, that was probably the cause of the near death headache LOL :D

Trit, the pants are expensive, but if you consider the lifetime guarantee, that's not a bad price, and Rave said her kids have returned them when they wore out and gotten a new pair. Consider it an investment. Of course, the shipping to Greece might be expensive, too. I think I read in the reviews that you pay for shipping when you return them and probably when they send back the new pair, too. Even so, shipping charges can't equal another pair of pants. It sounds like a good deal to me.

I'd say they are about the same as denim but denim is warm in the summer and I haven't worn these new pants in the summer yet. Will summer ever get here? :/

Nope. I'm sorry. Summer has been cancelled. :(

Oy! I read that to him. He assures me he's getting it.

They have returned them repeatedly. Here's the scoop. When they send you the pants, they also send a free return shipping label. So, returning shipping doesn't cost you anything the first time. So, you send the pants back and they ship a replacement pair for free. But this time, they don't include a return shipping label. You can still return them a second time, but then, you'll have to pay for shipping only to return them to Duluth. So - great work pants with a lifetime guarantee. And not just the pants. Anything that they sell can be sent back with no questions asked.

The pants that you linked to aren't the right ones, Sandy. They are the "flex". Not the same fabric. Those have enough space between the fibers that they can still allow thorns in. Here are the right ones according to the young folks:

Don't loose your ...., Trit. It's one of my favorite features:)

Chilly out east. I guess I can't complain that it was 19 degrees this morning.

You are scaring me, Raven. One year, summer was cancelled here.

I'm definitely gonna get some of those fire hose pants for hubby for his birthday. I never know what to buy him but this yesr, I'm gonna nail it.

I think we will drive down to Yerington to look at the firewood situation.

Oh, summer always eventually comes here. I'd settle for Spring. In fact, I prefer Springtime with all of the new growth and the scent of the earth in the forest. Can't wait to see how many of those bulbs that I planted last fall will come up!! And, I wanna see baby critters. Right now, the only critters that I'm seeing are the really, really intrepid ones. Yesterday, I saw the saddest thing. There was a robin on my deck. He was all fluffed up watching all of the other birds eat. Nothing for him. Softbill birds can't eat seeds. :(

Literal  At "Don't loose your ...., Trit. It's one of my favorite features." You're so funny, Lizzie. Enjoy your trip to Yerington.
