That is rough. Sorry to hear of your loss, Raven. Take good care of yourself while you are dealing with your sister's passing. You are loved and needed by many people.

It rained last night. Not hard but I'll take what I can get. I figure it was just enough to get the weeds going again. You'd be surprised at how little moisture it takes to encourage desert weeds. It is cloudy and windy outside so maybe we will get a little more rain. I have hope.
I should head into town after my cleaning job today. Pick up a few things and go to the bank. Maybe have a burger for lunch.

We haven't had any rain in over two weeks now. It's been kind of warm during the day and in the upper 50's at night. When I got up this morning it was a "little" foggy. The back fence was hard to see and that's about 200' from the kitchen window. It cleared off and is approaching 80 already.
We'll be spending the day outside, AGAIN. Mrs. Awsum took the day off. I'll be working on adding topsoil/mulch to the front yard low spots and then roto till them in, lime and throw out some grass seed. When did grass seed get more expensive than "wacky weed" or gasoline? I sure hope this stuff takes and stays for a change. It's getting very frustrating to have a nice lawn for a few months followed by sparse/bare shortly thereafter.

That's normal for me too Roland. I'll be walking around dripping blood or with a black and blue arm and somebody will invariably ask how I got it. I kinda feel stupid when I answer "I dunno".

Lunch time after a busy morning of shoveling, screening the proceeds, dumping the proceeds and raking the proceeds. Got about a cubic yard done, so far, with another yard or so to go. It's funny how little a cubic yard is when you start spreading it out. I wish my back muscles would quit complaining though. Now I know why a shovel is called an "idiot stick" for sure, LOL.

The golden locust is starting to leaf out and it really is golden. We had lots of clouds yesterday. We finally got some rain about midnight. Nice to listen to the rain and smell the moist air as I was going to sleep.
