Sitting down, facing forward.
We did get some storms last night, heavy rain with lots of lightning and thunder. It's a little cooler out there this morning, only 75, but the humidity is 87% and everything is soaking wet. It's supposed to clear off and get sunny and hot, back into the 90's, which will feed more storms again tonight. We lost power twice last night but only for about a minute each time. Just enough to have to reset the clocks and make the "set top boxes" and internet router reboot. I've got to order a replacement battery for my UPS. Especially with the security camera now.

Evie, it's nice to hear you're feeling better and appreciated at work.

Terry, look at it this way...the trip "home" is always faster than the trip there. If you do it again, maybe consider renting a car with unlimited mileage and AC.

I'm very familiar with anxiety attacks, in fact I had 2 mild ones on this trip. I know there's a mental cause but not sure what a physical cause would be. Do you mean like physical abuse? Fear can bring one on for me, like the fear of losing something precious to me or fear of being homeless.

I think what Jerry meant is a physical cause (or contributor, anyway) like something in your diet or environment. The mind and body are closely linked, and sometimes what you eat might manifest as a mental disorder, just like sometimes mental disorders can manifest as physical reactions.

I wasn't aware that there was a link between anxiety and dairy products. Very interesting!

I am amazed. I got up late. I have some work to do. I'm going to move my wardrobe. It is on the wall where the bathroom is on the other side. Worried about humidity. Had a nice conversation with my daughter last night on facebook chat.

I had an episode of diverticulitis a few years ago. The first sign was an anxiety attack.

I'm usually up at dawn so I am getting up a couple of minutes later every day now:)

Huh? Summer solstice (the longest day in the year) is on June 21. That means the days are still getting longer, so you should be getting up at dawn a few minutes earlier every day till June 22 and thereafter. In fact, I usually wake at dawn (though I often don't actually get up then) and noticed the other day how much earlier it was! It seemed to hit me all of a sudden, like it hadn't changed for a week or so and then I noticed it.

Its the month of July now, SandySu:) Remember, fireworks, picnics, etc. :)

We are headed downhill into fall and then we can all start complaining about how cold it is this winter.

I guess we are all a bunch of lazy bones this morning. After I posted at that ungodly hour I went back to bed not really expecting to sleep but we both over slept until 9am. Whoa! BF is always up at the .... crack of dawn. I guess we were more tired than we thought.

Speaking of storms, we ran into one a couple states back. Thunder and lightning and heavy rain. It was cool. We don't get lightning like that. LOL!

We should get to Rave's sometime this evening. We're staying here at the motel for awhile to do laundry and just relax.

From what I have read, Terry, there is some crossed wiring in the brain, that leaves us susceptible to random anxiety attacks. After the first surprise attacks, we become fearful of them. It's fear of fear. Things like physical abuse, can trigger the first ones and then the fear of the fear takes over.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the coffee, Rave.

I'm usually up at dawn so I am getting up a couple of minutes later every day now:)

I need to be up early this time of year so I can get some stuff done outside and then I can chill inside the house for the rest of the day.

I'm thinking I should play with my little horses and get a little bit done in the yard.

Yesterday was ridiculously hot like 104 degrees. It is supposed to be a little better today but still 98 degrees is predicted.

Well, I can't say that I went to much trouble to provide the coffee this morning. But, yer welcome anyhow. ;)

104 degrees is just crazy hot. That would affect me like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz. "I'm melting. Melting!"

I woke up downright chilly this morning. 55 deg.

Mighty chilly here too. It was in the mid 50's when I got up at 4:30. I'm actually wearing a thick sweater. Who'd a thunk it?

Not me!! Only thing is - now I'm nappily-inclined. I may just give in to that urge since you'll be later than expected.

That makes perfect sense to me.

Jer, I've had some panic attacks, too. Not for awhile now but it was no fun. I figure we are all only human and we are dealing with life the best we can:)

I think doctors should quit thinking they are psychiatrists.
And psychiatrists should quit thinking they are doctors. I didn't start improving, until I dumped my shrink and the tranquilizers. Neither one did me any good.
