But...but...I didn't know there were so many steps.

The last time I bought a house I went conventional and it was quick and easy. I guess I figgered FHA would be the same.

Son went FHA so I know there is a lot of steps to it. As cindy said, you're dealing with the gubment now. 8-o

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

Good morning, Uncle and Evie.

Raven - Glad your bone scan went fine!

Terry - Very excited about your house!

SandySu - Sounds like Penny is getting a new home!

I like Roland - he gets things done:)

I am busy with places to go for the next six days. Not sure I like that but....what are you going to do.

So much for the quiet weekend at home. LOL! Damn, I wish I could go. I love caving.

Just hope they're getting all fixed up just for "You" & "BF" . . .

:w00t: Thanks Uncle! I looked everywhere!! .... except wherever you looked.

I believe that sheep love kudzu. Maybe a couple of hair sheep will be in your future?

Naw - I'm not gonna let him get away with that. She has a good sized front yard that'll have to be maintained. However, the vast majority of her land is forest, and Ma Nature will take care of that alllll by herself. nodding.gif

Caving - what a nightmare. That, and swimming. Two things I do not like!

I can't like your post Lizzie.... Because I LOVE swimming. Mama taught me to swim before I could even walk. When I was 8 my family made a group decision to get either a pool or a large RV. I said " Well we can get everyday use out of a pool in summer and we'd only go 'camping' every once in a while." Needless to say, we got a pool. :glug:

I also love caving, even though I have only done it a couple times. :)

PS When I said 'camping', I meant that I personally don't see a RV as camping. Gimme a tent and a campfire and a creek with good drinking water and fish and I am a happy... wait for it.... Camper !:lol::lol:

Happy Friday Volties, although since we are on midnights, when Mr. Q wakes up it will be Saturday for us. No wonder I never know what day it actually is!

Have fun in the caves Rave, and be safe.

I've checked myself several times on the Awsum and Lizzie meter, yup, the needle points to lazy.

I'm glad you figured out your Penny situation Sandy, I hope the move benefits you both.

Celtic, I know you will be so happy when you get your yard project done, it's hard work but the payoff is worth it!

Hope the packing is going good Terry, soon you will be on the road! yay!

I didn't find any cave gifs either, I figure if Rave and Uncle can't come up with them, they just aren't out there! But, I did find this one interesting, although I'm not sure I will ever find a reason to post it other than today.

Good morning, Voltpeeps. Hiya, Princess !!! :)

Cindy and Raven, I stand by what I said. I'm not going to lie to Terry. It's true that the woods takes care of itself, but cleared land, needs constant maintenance, because the woods wants to reclaim the cleared areas.

We don't have any caves around here, but from what I understand about caves, they are either occupied by bears. bats. or rattlesnakes.

Its true! Already the kudzu is trying to reclaim the back yard.... but it keeps having dates with Mr. Lawnmower. After you get it cleared to your specifications its alot easier to maintain. :)

You're partially right Jerry. The trees in the back yard are encroaching too close to my house and will have to be pruned back but it's not a chore. I'm looking forward to it. The chore will be mowing all that grass. It is a lot but not so much a hand mower couldn't handle but a rider would be a lot more fun :p and less of a chore.

Put aside your nickels and dimes, Terry, save up to buy a lawn tractor, new or used, you will happy that you did.

    Sitting down, facing forward.
Terry, if you can put way enough nickels and dimes I'd suggest a "garden" tractor versus a "lawn" tractor. A garden tractor is built heavier and can take "ground engaging" equipment like a tiller or plow/rake as well as mow your lawn. It would also be handier with snow removal because they have a PTO and you don't have to.snake a long belt to drive a snow blower. They are more expensive but are way more versatile.

 Yer so funny, Q! I'm sure that we'll have a great time caving. The only thing that I'm worried about is being able to see the ground. But, I'll carry a flashlight. Hope they'll let me use it.

That .gif is a hoot! I can't think of any possible opportunity to actually use it, but it's still funny.

That's a fact, Jerry. Every year I have to round up the troops for Deforestation Day to clear out the saplings and briars right around my house. It's a jungle out there! And it would be far worse if we didn't beat it back every year.

Put aside your nickels and dimes, Terry, save up to buy a lawn tractor, new or used, you will happy that you did.

Actually - I have a contact for that. My son-in-law's grandfather refurbishes tractors. I think I'll be able to hook Terry up fairly inexpensively. :D

Ya probably won't hear from me 'til Monday or Tuesday folks. Stay outta trouble! If you can't do that, have fun!
