Well. If you can go then it's better to be patient and do it. I think there is no one who likes going to the dentist in this world :D
Oh this choking thing how have i suffered! (mouth contains a pound of iron and several construction materials LOL)

I hope everything goes well :)

Ohhh ... I dunno about that. There are some masochists. I'm sure not amongst them though. 8-o Ever see Jack Nicholson in his very first role? He certainly liked going to the dentist.

Hiya Voltville,

I've been very busy trying to catch up on things around here and getting precious little accomplished. Guess that's how it goes sometimes. Oy! Ah well, there's always tomorrow. I finally gave up and decided to see how things were goin' here. And I land in a conversation about dentists! 8-o Not one of my favorite topics. Yikes!

We finally have blue skies and a break from all of the rain. It's a bit cooler today too. Yesterday it reached 101.7. I stayed indoors, needless to say. That's too hot for me! I really miss camping out though. It's been rain on top of rain and that's cramping my style. I feel as if I've hardly been outdoors this year. But, soon it will be autumn. Also my favorite time of the year. I've got camping on my mind as well as caving. We might be saving the cavern explorations for weekends that are supposed to remain dry. It's not looking like this will be one of 'em. I really feel bad for the younguns because they are trying so hard to build a house in this rainy mess. Can't use power tools in the rain. Just sayin'. :(

Rave, why not go the wet weekends to the caves and camp out on the dry ones? After all, deep in the ground, it doesn't matter what kind of weather is up on the surface.

Jeez.... I sure missed a lot!

Rave kewl cave pics! I wanna go!

Sandy I am so glad you are moving Penny! I would probably pitch an unholy fit if my horse (or other critter) was living there.

Lizzie I am so glad your BBQ went well!

Cindy I am glad you are alright after that earthquake.:)

Dentist Horror Story: I believe I told y'all mine but I will refresh you memories. I was still on medicaid when my childhood dentist sent me elsewhere because he no longer took my insurance. I then went to see a jerk named Dr. Turner who said he didn't want to fool with my teeth because I needed alot of work done (He actually said I was too old but I was still 17, a minor, and his office said children up to 18!) Anyway I went to a dentist for a routine extraction. I hadn't seen him before and when I got there, just before he gave me my shot, I noticed his hand shaking really bad. It was like he had palsies or leftover tremblings from epileptic seizures or something. Well I got the shot, in the wrong area! So i asked for another shot and he obliged. Then he immediately starts the extraction without waiting for the numbness to kick in!!! I found out later I had to pay fifty dollars out of pocket for the extra shot! My mom made me pay... I woulda went up there and let 'em have it if it weren't for Mama.:grr:

    Good morning, Voltniacs,

Looks like I have a day filled with freezing melons, picking produce, weeding, wheel barrowing and making sure the yard is picked up as it is trash day tomorrow. Hope everyone has a wonderful and dentist free day:)

I guess this is your idea of a relaxing day? It sounds like a lot of work to me.

I have a day that's sort of busy, but not by your standards.

    1. Wash dishes.
    2. Visit Penny. It might be too cold to give her a bath. I'll see.
    3. Bring home everything I own that's still at the barn, except for Penny's halter & lead and bell boots, which she'll wear in the trailer. I think I'll take my hay net to the barn so she can have hay in the trailer.
    4. Wash grooming tools.
    5. Make banana bread.
    6. Oh, yes. I should pick up more carrots and a few other things at the store at some point, though I can do that tomorrow, too. I want carrots on hand for Saturday to reward Penny when she finally gets into the trailer.

SandySu - Sounds like you are indeed very busy!

I would like to be sitting on the couch doing nothing but this all has to get done and isn't waiting for my time schedule:)

I got enough apples for one apple pie, I think. It isn't much but at least it is something.

I cut, packaged a froze about 15 melons today. The cantaloupes are so tastey! I could eat those every day.

The green freezer is just about as full as I can get it. I have some room in the white freezer although Hubby is bringing home some antelope that his dad got hunting last week. I heard it was a small antelope so hopefully we won't be getting too much since I am running out of room in the freezers!

Last chore for this morning is going to be picking strawberries and freezing them. I think that picking up the yard can wait. Trust me if poop patrol doesn't get done on the Thursday before Friday trash day, all the poop will be there until I do get around to doing yard patrol:)

I have several books with my name on them!

We are having left over green beans and big French roll ham sandwiches for dinner. Easy and very few dishes:) Tonight is TV night. My favorite show Project Runway is on.

    Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Did i say good morning today?? Anyway!
    Good morning/evening :p

Lizzie??? Melons?? Freezing? Can you freeze melons? How are they when you warm them up after that?

Next years i'm preparing Alpine strawberries and fragaria ananassa (white strawberries). And probably different kinds of tomatoes, black tomato (russian) Green, yellow, orange and the tiger with stripes etc.
I also found a place to get unmodified seeds (old ones non mutated).

Sounds like a great garden you have planned, Tritium!

We freeze the melons and then use them in smoothies all winter and spring!

They get mushy when you freeze them but it doesn't matter when you throw them in a blender.
