The Siberian tiger has to be one of the most beautiful creatures nature has ever created. I only wish the stories of fascinating creatures weren't so full of the sad side of humanity. Poaching is so horrible. These are the most precious beings and they won't be here much longer if we don't quit killing them. Worse yet is the habitat loss so many creatures face.

Double Ditto! I NEVER would poach any wildlife! If I saw someone poaching.... well it wouldn't be pretty! I love all animals and while killing an animal for food seems cruel to some folks, I don't think it is as long as it is done humanely. Take deer for an example, if people around here didn't hunt them, there would be an overabundance of car wrecks involving deer. Although we finally got a law stating we must check in each deer killed. I guess it is to monitor how many are killed a year. (course you know how many law abiding citizens there are )

In my look at animals killing other animals, there was mention of ants who do go to war and capture slaves. Very much like people. I think there is a reason for wars, though: to capture territory and resources. Of course, when you have sufficient territory and resources for your populace, trying to get more is called "greed."

I was going to say that but didn't want to burst her bubble. I have one coming but haven't tried it yet but all I've heard is excellent reviews. A certain someone has tried mine and loved it so much she had to get one for herself. Who do we know with no vape self control? I'm as excited to try it as I am getting my dream house.

Yes, I thought of that after posting. Then, thinking about it, I decided that ideology differences are just a way people have of identifying "us" versus "them." To promote national identity, you need to have the populace have something in common that they don't share with the enemy. Then they can hate the enemy more easily because those people are different. When your populace is convinced of that, then they accept war and doing away with the "others" more easily. So ideology probably started out as a means to an end and then became an end in itself when people got too into it.

I got my first iStick (silver) a week ago and the second (blue) yesterday. Just waiting on them to become plentiful again to get a black one now that I've got silver and blue. I put everything else in the apocalypse drawer except my pipes and grenade.
