(Yeah I know what time it is.... Insomnia stinks and the only thing that helps is a darn good thunderstorm to lull me into that blissful state of slumber.... ):glare:

I hear ya, Celt. I've been having insomnia for the last week or so. Last night I finally fell asleep, then I woke up. I thought it was 3am but it was only 11:30. I needed some ibuprofen. Oh yeah, I way over did the tumbleweed removal yesterday.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

It is 39 degrees out there. Brrrr!

Should warm back up in a couple of days. Plus, it should be in the 60's for the high today. You can tell the colder weather is on its way! Winter will be here before we know it.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Hi everyone! :)
Evie i hope everything goes well.

This year i'm going to be heated with oil! Last year didn't have heating (no oil), I also have the impression that this winter is going to be harder.

I found a metal cheese container, will keep it to make some charcoal out of balsa wood and some white poplar.

My Orchid wouldn't hold juice. I had a very frustrating time trying to get it to work. Now I am using it as a single-coil twisted 32 ga dripper at 1.3Ω without the chimney. I have the tank filled with cotton, and it holds a LOT of juice. I also ordered a https://www.fasttech.com/product/1552300 If that works for me, I'll buy one a month for several months until I have enough for my top favorites. Cartos for my cartotanks just don't last long enough to make them a reasonable economy.

Sitting down, facing forward.
0, Foggers are available on flea bay for under 24 bucks, all stainless (no " minor" parts not stainless) and a pyrex tank, dual coils and holds about 4.5ml. Hard to beat. And I'll send you a new set of screws with washers for the coil screw to make coiling a lot easier.

(every time I post abut non Volt/SI gear I feel guilty, but I push them, too, and use their stuff all the time as well)

if you were filling from the top, there's a very specific way you have to do that, to not screw up the vacuum inside the tank. If you were filling from the bottom, you probably didn't have enough wick. With the Orchid, I've been leaving a couple of strands long and running them halfway down the vertical parts of the channels. Your coils might've been too high as well. I try to set them about 1/16" away from the airflow hole. Could be the diameter of your coil too. If it's too skinny, it could cause leaks. I've been making mine about 2mm.

Russians work about the same way as Orchids, especially if you get the one with deep channels. The Taifun GT is probably the easiest to build, if you're coming from Kanger coils(single coil, same slot-type juice channels), but I've heard it's a little hit and miss to get a good one. Plus they're 23mm wide.

AHA!! Thank you.
One more: forgot about this one.
On the top cap where it connects to the chimney stem should be an o-ring holding the chimney stem to the top cap. This could be where your air leak is - sometimes when they ship these things, they roll the o-ring down the stem instead of putting it on the top cap. There's no vacuum in the tank if there's an air leak, so yeah it would go gushing down the air holes.
