Where the hell is the HVAC intake?

I have the tub full of water & water simmering on the stove. Humidity is at a whopping 28% right now. :(

I have double pain windows throughout but need an insulated curtin for the slider. I only feel a draft from the sliding door.

Sorry to hear about the fire awsum. :(

Still no internet for awhile. This is really crimping my style.

It's in the laundry room. That little door on the right that was(?) blocked by your cooler. Give it time. It'll moisten up in there.

:p

Check into the pink styro to seal that slider. That and duck tape might be cheaper and more efficient.

But she needs to open and close that door occasionally to get her firewood when the rack next to her fireplace gets low. :(

I think most of the places I've lived had leaks, if dryness in winter is an indication. I hate humidity. I'd rather have it dry. I just use lots of body lotion when it's winter.

I'm going to say good night early and curl up in bed and listen to the wind howling around the house. Your good-night photo is in celebration of the frigid air we're all experiencing.

That slider is my view of the woods. No can do but thanks for the thought. :)
Terry, I saw this at Lowes the other day: Shop 3M -Pack 112-in x 7-ft Transparent Window Film Door Weatherstrip at Lowes.com
I'm with you - I can never cover up windows, I don't care how much more efficient it is, I need to be able to look out. But this stuff is clear.

Double-paned windows can be just as inefficient as single-pane, so don't bank on that too much. It depends on the U-factor. You want it to be 30 or lower. My brother got the windows replaced at Dad's house in 2009. He thought he got a really good deal for double-pane, but then I saw the U-factor sticker they accidentally left on one of the windows - U-48! That's just as bad as the original single-paned windows they replaced! He got taken. "Double-pane" sure does sound good though, huh?

My mother was found dead today at lunch, she passed in her recliner watching QVC. While I'll be away dealing with all the reality I can handle, I would love for you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I have alot I have to do but I'm sure I'll try to escape here when I can. I love y'all and your friendships mean the world to me.
