Morning Volties. I wanted to share Rave's and my adventure into my woods last Weds. She did a sleep-over so we had plenty of time to explore.

Good news first: We found 2 morels. Not much but at least we know they are there. We found lots of pretty flowers that I didn't know the name of. The ones I remember are May Apples, Violets, Spring Beauties, Jack and the Pulpit and something Goldensel. She laughed at my pond-not. :sneaky: It's only a test hole about 2' x 2' and around 5" deep but it's holding water and that is what I wanted to know.

Bad news: A lot of my trees are dead or dying, mostly Poplar. Some of the larger trees have Virginia Creeper all the way to the top and we saw a lot of Tent Caterpillar nests. We even found a tree that was entombed from ground to top with silk and crawling with caterpillars. We even found a grape ivy vine that was at least 4" in diameter and went clear to the top of a tree. :-x I cut a chunk out of the base so hopefully it will die.

As usual we had a great time. We spent a lot of time chattin and exploring. I always hate it when she leaves.

Terry found the first morel too! :D Yesterday, the BF and I found a dozen here and fried 'em up with dinner. What's strange is that Terry is further South with noticeably warmer weather than I have and her canopy growth is thicker, but her understory growth is so much further behind. Weird! :?:

Here is that tree that was completely encased with Eastern tent caterpillar webbing and just crawling with 'em. I ... don't like swarms ... at all.

I had a great time too, Terry!! :D

I have heard that also tmcase. I am holding off on a few things I want to do until they finish tweaking and loading the add ons the are working on - no reason to have to do something twice...
@rave...what ever you do, don't change your avi. You'll run into all kinds of trouble from what I've read.

Noted. Thanks for the tip. Gotta admit ... so far, I'm liking this change. I do miss some of my favorite smileys, but that can be fixed. I think.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I hate tent caterpillars, very destructive species. Here in "fabulous" NJ they completely killed acres and acres of scrub oak and maple a while back. They do seem to be a cyclical phenomenon though.

Back to the PM problem...it seems sporadic and the real "cause" has yet to be determined.

I've also seen comments that all this white is a result of trying to save bandwidth on the Internet. I guess that's so that important things like streaming videos at work can happen without any lag.

They are working on a darker scheme. Yeah, the white is kinda glaring. The color of the quote box would be soothing on the eyes then they could make the quote box a little darker so it would stand out.

What PM problem? I miss that smiley with the ??? above his head. :(

On my computer, this is on page 666. I wasn't referring to post #'s.
