"When I was in IT one of my major responsibilities was handling the backup system and restoring any lost/damaged files, previous versions of files or once in a great while restoring a complete file system after a server failure. The server where she works, at the State, crashed and burned, well figuratively burned, yesterday so they had to do a full restore from backup. "Best" practice is incremental backup daily, differential backup weekly and a full backup monthly. That makes it easy to restore everything almost as it was if there is a major failure with only the loss of any work done on the day of the failure."

Hey Awesome, Mind if I pick your brain on something IT?

I love when you guys talk techy:)

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

Yes, I have to work today and after almost killing myself finishing up the irrigation system. And, I figured out that I didn't get the asparagus on the system so I have to get out there again as soon as possible. Dang it.

After that, I have a few minor tweeks to the system. I could up the irrigation around a few new trees and I have a willow that isn't getting any water.

My neighbor is going to give me some honey locust babies and another neighbor is giving me black locust and purple robe locust. I am installing them between the dying poplar shrubs. Poplars don't last long and ours are middle aged already.

Have a great day voltians.

'afternoon, Voltalytes.

I really wanted to finish mowing today. It was supposed to be cloudy, around 70 with a little breeze. Instead it's cloudy, rainy and in the mid 60's. Oh well, "the sun will come out tomorrow".

I'm glad your puppy is back inside with you.

How about a photo?

This is my buddy :)

Nice looking boy. I've always liked Husky's but have enough trouble dealing with a short hair that sheds.
Thank you :) He is my baby. He is my first husky....he was very energetic when he was a puppy and loved biting my hands and wrists! Lol He has turned into an excellent friend, and he just keeps getting better and better. So far he has not shed too bad, but I am sure after this coming winter he will shed lots :) Right now he actually sheds less than my german rottweiler did.

Bo has short hair but a double coat. He gets brushed and Ferminated almost daily. Even with that you could make a pillow with what gets picked-up when we vacuum.

I keep going back and looking at his eyes.

Those double coats are hard to get wet when bathing them sometimes too! Lol
He does have pretty eyes. Look at them when he was a puppy: he was the cutest thing I ever saw :)

That is a mighty big puppy you have there, ducklady.

The skies are booming and the wind is whipping. Large thunderstorms in the area.

The dogs are sticking to me like glue. Very irritating.

I best unplug the computer now:)
He is a little big for a little over 7 months I think, alot of people have said that too.

Great looking pup WV. We had a Rottie before we got our wolf/dog and I agree. Those short hairs would actually stick in our feet if we stepped on them on a hard floor sometimes. That biting is the way wolves communicate and play so we're used to it. Jeb never outgrew it and probably never will.

moanin, Voltville.

We always had a dog when I was a child. The first was a collie, Lassie was the big thing back then. Talk about shedding and brushing! Most were mutts after that and all of them were smaller to medium sized. Bo is my first experience with a giant breed other than being around a few Saint Bernards over the years.

There are times I scratch my head and ask why did we get such a big dog, other than Mrs. Awum wanted a big dog, like an Akida or Husky. Imagine your devoted dog following you around all day, into the kithen, while you brush your teeth, to sit at your feet while your on the couch and while you're working outside. No imagine what that means when your devoted buddy is about five feet long and a foot and a half wide and a foot or so high when he lays down in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and as you're trying to work outside. I don't call him a speed bump, he's an out and out traffic hazard!
