Sitting down, facing forward.
I can at least sympathize with the back pain, mine usually is giving me some kind of problems but it really isn't all that bad, yet. I hope that "Righty" can get "righted" and soon.

Uncle and Mrs. Wuzz are in my thoughts as well, especially when here in Voltville.

I'm really glad you are feeling better, Rave! Of course, I can't think of anything to say that hasn't been said, so I'll just keep the good thoughts headed your way. That goes for Uncle and the Wuzzes, too!

Once I put someone on my 'list', they are there permanently. Seriously, I have a little box and write names on tiny scraps of paper, and into the box they go. There is no escape from the box, once I put a name in, it doesn't come back out! If I've read of any problems any of you or yours are having, you are in the box and thoughts and prayers are sent for the people, animals, situations, all at once. Not very conventional, I know, but it works for me.

I'm pretty sure all of Voltville is in the box by now. :)

    Good morning Voltpeeps.

Who knew roofing was so complicated? The roofers I wasn't too impressed with never did get back to me with an estimate. I was looking at installing metal roofing online and it looks difficult to do properly. You have ice shield, tar paper and roofing paper before you even install the metal. Then there are starter pieces and edge pieces and cap pieces. Good golly!

I then looked up metal roofers in Reno hoping to get some new leads. I did get some new leads but I am realizing that a roof even of shingles would be a fair amount of money and it will certainly be more for metal. I'm thinking I better start saving up for this right away. No dinners out and no fancy projects.

I'm still doing the front porch since that will save us money on A/C all summer!!!! And keep the thunderstorms from blowing rain directly onto the storm door. Also, I saved up the money and I can do it myself.

    Hiya Folks,

Thanks so much for all of the thoughts and vibes and prayers. Sumthin's workin' cuz I am feeling better. The wings on my back are so much better that I think The Hug may be gone. I actually slept last night which is a big departure from the norm. My biggest complaint is that Righty (my right hand) refuses to cooperate. There is no grip. Can't even make a fist. That hand is almost always cold in spite of exercise and massage. Had to pay bills yesterday and today. I can't write without two hands and the result looks like something produced by a two year old. I called my bank to warn them about these checks. :-/ Tomorrow I see my neurologist. We'll see what he says about Righty. On Friday I get another MRI. Yeehaw - what fun. During the last MRI I was having horrible hallucinations. Not looking forward to it, but I'm not on crazy narcotics now. Anyhow, I'm much better. BTW - Uncle does still need vibes and prayers. Just sayin'.
I am so glad your doimg and feeling better! Yay! That is wonderful news! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers :) along with everyone else in here :)

I love that prayer box idea! I grew up going to church, and a couple of the churches had prayer boxes, and I always thought it was wonderful.

The box idea is great. I have an internal box where I keep all of those that are in my heart. They are always in my thoughts.

Yesterday I west to the neurologist. we now have an EMG scheduled for Righty. He has referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon for my back. AND this morning I have an MRI. The cervical and thoracic regions will be scanned for new MS lesions and the lumbar region will be scanned for degeneration. BTW - when I had the MRI in the hospital of my head they said that I had no new brain lesions. YAY! So ... the Copaxone is doing a great job. Better go get ready. But ... I don't wanna!

Before y'all go and start feeling sorry for me - these are two of the three bald eagles now living here:

Absolutely so cool!!!! You are a lucky gal to have a pair of bald eagles on your property.

Don't blame you for not wanting to go in for testing but at least you will get it out of the way!!!! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts, Raven.

    moanin', Voltaticalytes.

Nice to see you post and hear that you're making some progress, Rave. Three Bald Eagles! Heck, I'd be happy to see one up here. They are down in Delaware but I've never seen one up this far, yet. Maybe someday is the wind is just right.

Another decent day again today. Not three feet of sunshine, more like a foot or so, but at least it's warm and the winds are gentle. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get the whole yard cleaned up and if I can buy enough plastic garbage bags to clean it all up into.

Not as dramatic as Bald Eagles, but once in a while something good shows up on the surveillance system. Here's a "snip" of a robin taking off. The blue elements on and behind the tail are "highlighted motion" that the software inserts. Captured on a 4 megapixel camera.

    Happy Friday Volties!

All of you have been in my thoughts but sending special thoughts and prayers for Rave, Uncle and Mr. & Mrs. Wuzz.

Hopefully you will see progress with your hand very soon Rave. MRI's are never fun but they are necessary.

Take care all and have a great weekend. :)

I'm in the same boat as you but I got lucky. They were flying by left and right while I was there. We even saw a juvenile learning how to fish but he just plopped in the water. He needs to pay more attention to ma & pa.

I'm glad you got good news on your head MRI, Rave!!! I hope there is good news on the other tests.
I love 'your' bald eagles!!! We have one down here. I saw him on the way to GA (20 min trip to the state line :D) I got all teary eyed because it was like my daddy saying hello. The eagle was his favorite animal.

That woodpecker sure is pretty, Terry! :):)

I don't have Bald Eagles but I get as big a thrill out of the Pileated Woodpeckers. :D
This was taken through the screen door on my slider so it isn't very clear.

Woodpeckers are awesome! It is so neat watching them find bugs in trees.
