Hey guys, Just a quick update for Rave. I haven't back read so I don't know what's been going on. I did see the sad news about Bo. I'm really sorry Awsum.

Not much has changed with Rave. She still is in excruciating pain 24/7. A week ago she got a call from her sister that was a nurse and she had the exact same symptoms that Rave is having when she was put on a new drug. She quickly stopped taking the drug and the symptoms went away. Rave has been taking that drug for a year so now she is wondering if she has developed a late allergy/reaction to this drug so she stopped taking that drug a week ago. So far there hasn't been much improvement except for some tingling in her right hand that is useless right now. Hopefully that means she is getting better blood circulation in that hand. Since she has been taking this drug for so long, it may take longer for her to improve. There's really no way of knowing if this drug is the problem but it's the best hope she has since her doctor's aren't doing anything to help her.

I've been wondering what is going on with Raven. Thanks for the update, Terry. Maybe she is onto something with the new medication having an adverse affect. Thank you so much for letting us know.

Raven, I'm thinking good thoughts for you. I'm sorry you are going through so much.

I'm with you as far as those things are concerned. Thankful that my area will be spared until 2020. They don't have to bite for me to be totally terrified of them. Actually, I hate all creepy crawlies... yuck!
Haha! Centipedes and Grandaddy long leggers creep me out on the top of my list!! I also get wigged at praying mantas too! We also have these huge black bugs (I never saw them before in my entire life until 2 years ago! ), and I have no idea what they are. There are not alot of them around. They will chase you! They are my #1 freak me out! Lol They look like a spider mixed with a cricket.

Thanks for updating us :) I have been keeping her in my prayers along with many others :)

Thanks Terry for the update on Raven's health. I hope she see's improvement after stopping that medication. Please let her know she is still in my prayers.

Awsum, you and your wife are still in my prayers... for strength and peace of mind that you both did all that was humanly possible for Bo.

'moanin, Volties.

I sure hope Rave makes some progress soon! Thanks for posting, Terry. She's been in my thoughts a lot and I was wondering how she has been doing. Please let her know we're all sending her the best prayers and vibes, and miss her presence here.

Wuzz, I hope something breaks to the good side for Mrs. Wuzz and you, too. You guys are in my thoughts a lot, too.

We've both been having a hard time with the loss of Bo. I've had a lot of dogs in my life and none of them hit me like this one. I guess I'm getting to the "sentimental old fool" stage or something. He was with me24/7 and not having my shadow is kind of tuff at times. It's a little maudlin, I guess, but he's back with us, his essence at least, which has helped a little. We're thinking about getting another Boerboel, of course, but finding a good breeder in the "local" area is proving problematic. Bo's breeder moved to South Carolina but does have a male pup available. I know there will never be another Bo and a puppy can be a handful, but we're both still kind of interested.

Again, thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers. They have helped and Bo says thanks, too.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
I think i lost the link to your weather station.

Heat is OK from 68 to 77 but it will drop the following days with rain too. Efkarpia, Greece | 71.4° | Scattered Clouds
I will go to mount Athos again tomorrow for the last time for a day to finish the generator job, other than that no work at all. Maybe a radio link only.

I checked the weather in the Thessaloniki suburbs the other day and it showed 104F for the high. That's kind of on the warm side to say the least. I'm KNJSOUTH36 on WeatherUnderground. I keep thinking about adding an inexpensive camera but it would just show the backyard.

I'm sorry, awsum. I know what you mean about missing your buddy. I still miss Penny PooPoo. Getting another dog is not a bad idea. I can't seem to live without a dog around here. Little Cash is cute and he is developing a real personality now that he is getting a little older. He is 6 months old now.

Cash will be neutered pretty soon. We have been calling his blankie his "girlfriend". He is also starting to lift his leg to pee. I need to make some phone calls and get this done.

I couldn't get hay yesterday since the feed store was closed due to family issues. The hardware store closed at 4pm and we were too late. That means I need to drive the truck to my cleaning job and pick up some hay on my way there.

I saw a nice bench when we were at Cal RAnch, heavy duty, made of metal and only $70 so I may just go ahead and buy that today. I could use something that won't blow over near the horse pen in the back. I could probably move the old and ugly but totally functional white expanded metal chase lounge from near the horse stalls to near the back horse pen. Then I could put the new nicer looking bench up by the horse stalls where it will look nice from the back yard. Also, the metal is black so the new bench would be under the shade of the poplar tree which is a plus when you have black metal:)

I finished my coffee so it is time to get dressed and feed those hungry critters.

Supposed to be sunny and 82 dgrees today.

My heart still aches for Spanky but my heart also misses the love and companionship that only a dog can give. I would have another right now but hubby is not ready yet. He had never been a dog person like me so I was really surprised that he loved Spanky the way that he did. His passing really hit him hard and he doesn't want to experience that pain again. I'm hoping in another year he will feel differently. So I must wait...

I hope your hubby comes around, JoAnn. It is hard once you get attached to a pet but time can heal that hurt, somewhat anyway.

After having Bo, a Boerboel, we just can't "get into" any other breed. Boerboels are kind of unique. They are very large and imposing, some people see that as threatening which is fine by my. They are very gentle around their family, but if a stranger approaches the property they immediately change modes and are very aggressive. About the second week we had Bo I was walking him and he picked up a tissue or napkin someone had thrown out of their car on the way by. I didn't want him eating it so I grabbed his snout with my left hand and reached into his mouth with my right hand, telling forcefully "NO", and pulled it out. Keep in mind he had the jaw strength to amputate an arm, let alone a few fingers. He looked at me sheepishly and got petted. That was something I would never have considered with any dog I've owned previously. He never tried eating anything he encountered along the road after that, either. I can't say, for sure, if that was unique to Bo or a trait of the Boerboel generally. They have been bred to behave that way so it wasn't all that much of a surprise.

This is the puppy Bo's breeder has available -
