Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Well i don't know about the states, if you would like something like this:

Or this: http://resources1.news.com.au/images/2007/11/05/va1237275713990/Baggy-5735333.jpg

Might be normal for the states but here in Europe we have a local product we call a taste :D Classic is always better.
Colored plaid's are now circulating and polka dots like my shirt.

I have posted photos of me, more than once, Uncle. At my age, nothing really changes in a year or so, so I'm still the same old geezer I was last time.

The cops here love the baggy pants, the miscreants can't run fast because the pants interfere with the stride or, better still, fall down to the ankles. It's a style that never really made it with me at all. More traditional fit and solids look better to me, anyway.

We're supposed to be getting some rain/thunderstorms today so I'm planning on working inside. I want to check the accuracy of my scale and check the actual weight of the ingredients I use as well as mix a bunch of liquids. That, and paying some bills, will keep me pretty much occupied all day.

Then there is the "new, improved," battery sled I'm working on for my DNA75 mods. Nothing as "sexy" as Tritium's quad copter re-build, but some interesting use of brass, coax shield and JB weld. It seems the commercially available battery sleds/holders all are intended for very light duty use and come with 24 gauge wire for leads and tiny contact areas for the battery connection. That's just a "tad" undersized for use with a mod.

I don't know about that. The picture is a bit fuzzy, to hide the wrinkles.

I'm going to start insisting they put a piece of silk over the lens like the old time movie dames used to do:) A life well lived means a few wrinkles:)

Wonder how Rave is doing? I hope thing are OK with Wuzz, too.

It's a cool morning this morning, got down below 50 overnight, but three and a half feet of sunshine. A front came through around noon, yesterday, rather violently and cooled things down dramatically. It' going to be breezy, but dry, for the next couple of days. The laundry is already in the machine, and the machine is working on it. Without Bo here our laundry has been cut in half.

I found out my scale is accurate down to about 5%. Since it measures down to 1/100 of a gram I think that's more than accurate enough for my porpoises. I mixed up a half liter of liquids after checking the weights, per milliliter, of the components. Some, especially the IPA based stuff, were a little off. I've got to order some more 60ml bottles though.

The battery sled project came out well but one step is left. It grips the battery very tightly so a pull ribbon needs to be added. Problem is, there is no ribbon hanging around the house that I am aware of. Maybe a trip to Wally World will fix that.

Mrs. Awsum found that video yesterday. I feel sorry for the mommy at feeding time, YIKES! We're following another litter from Prairie Boerboels, only eight seem to be left from that litter, originally ten, but they are so cute and there's a live "nursery" cam. Watching that gives an idea of just how much work breeding and dog breed can be.

Dogs and pets of all kinds do create more laundry!!!!

Good afternoon, Voltmaniacs.

This morning I thought "Is that our dogs barking and barking and barking?" So, I hollered for them. Nothing so I walked out in my bathrobe and hollered. Nothing. I kept walking in my bare feet and bathrobe hollering. Nothing. I muttered "Ther e better be a mountain lion for you guys to be barking like this." I finally got all the way out to the street and said "Is that a skunk?" I got a bit closer and sure enough, there was a skunk on the other side of the road with his tail up and fuzzed out. I saw the neighbor and told him "Grab your puppy. There is a skunk by your gate!!!!" Never seen a skunk around here before.

Not as hot today at 89 degrees but still plenty hot if you ask me. I got a couple of wheel barrel loads out of the horse pen. I played with the horseys a bit. Went and helped my friend with her drip system. Over all, not much accomplished which is fine since I have to work tomorrow and Saturday.

'moanin, Volties.

We were enjoying "The King and I" on TCM last night when the power went off at, almost precisely, 9:30. Kind of ruined the movie for us. I saw it, the play, in the original run on Broadway as a young boy and saw one of the last performances by Yul Brenner when they re-did the play in the mid 80's, just before he died. To be honest, I was disappointed that the power went out. It just went completely out, no flicker, no drop, restore, drop as their breakers try to "clear" the problem. That was a little strange.

Anywho, Mrs. Awsum called the power company and they said it would be out until 2:45AM. So we started getting ready for bed by flickering candle light, flashlights and flickering "mod" light, not worth firing up the generator. Before we got into bed, right around 10PM, the power came back on and stayed on. The movie was over by the time the set top boxes rebooted. I rebooted the effected PCs and got the video surveillance system running again and we went to bed.

This morning I noticed that the weather station wasn't reporting. After multiple attempts to get the "bridge" working again I've determined that it got toasted and no longer connects to the internet. Instead of a "bridge" I ordered a display that connects via USB to a PC. The "bridge" puts the data out to the internet but doesn't allow local manipulation/logging of the data without "jumping through hoops"...two network connections and third party software. The USB display does allow local manipulation and logging, supposedly. The display is just slightly more expensive than a replacement bridge which does make me wonder about its' durability, but it will add a display in the office for me.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I finally feel a lot better today. Hope I can keep it that way.

Supposed to be a bit cooler today. I am hoping to go to the Home Depot and pick up what we need to do the door tomorrow after my cleaning job. Shouldn't take too much. Maybe I better make a list.

Today it is cleaning and then the grocery store.

Hoping for nice cool weather over the weekend. We shall see.
