Our weather has been in the high 70s to 80 for over a week now. It decided to take a dive this morning on the day I got up early for a 5 klick run/walk for cancer in another town. I about froze waiting for it to start.

I'm just guessing that it didn't dive to 18 degrees with a high of 38 like today is here:)

You'd be guessing correctly. It was about 45 when I climbed out of the car and that's pretty cold for someone that lives in a warm climate. Even the folks that move here say the same after a few years when their blood thins out a little and they sell off their winter clothes.

Who buys winter clothes in Florida? Sounds like selling air conditioners in the Arctic or Antarctic!
Nobody. That's one of the reasons below normal weather affects us so much. A couple of times a year displaced northerners wish they'd have at least kept something warmer. Especially the ones that have been down here for more than 3/4 years

g'afternoon, Voltiticalytes.

We're kind of stuck in a rut with temperatures being in the 30-40 range for the next week or so. There was supposed to be some snow, overnight, but it went out to sea south of us. Looks like DC got some snow though. We may get some snow/sleet/rain again tomorrow, but given the general accuracy, that's a toss up.

I did manage to install the last of the LED floodlights in the backyard yesterday. They are actually brighter than the halogens I took down. Both of the halogens were two bullets with a 100 watt bulb in each bullet. The LEDs are 30 watts each, one replacing a halogen of two bulbs. The LED lights are more "industrial" looking but given they're up under the overhang of the house it really doesn't matter much. I may add another LED, 20 watt, in the middle of the house to light up the deck a little better, but that's for spring time. Now I'm looking for effective solar powered post lights for the driveway.

We enrolled Leo in his next class, basic obedience, yesterday. We had been at the school with him, right after we got him, and the same nice, young, woman was there again today. She couldn't believe how big he's gotten! I'm guessing he's about 70 pounds by now and was under 20 pounds back then. He's doing fairly well walking, under normal circumstances, but when he sees another person, or dog, he turns into the frantic puppy trying to go visit. It'll take some time, but I hope we can get past that soon, he's really getting strong, too! This class has nine "pupils" already so he will get to socialize a lot more which is something we want and will be good for him.

Well, the weather experts blew it yet again. I got an alert on my phone an MWS has posted a "winter weather advisory" for this afternoon. Snow squalls, some very heavy, are moving through from west to east. At least the movement is normal anyway. Then there's the predicted snow/sleet/rain overnight and into tomorrow. I'd love to have a job where I could be totally wrong and never be penalized, or even have to apologize to my customer, for being completely wrong on such a regular basis. I was just outside with Leo and a few flakes, snow flakes, were drifting down.

Well, had a busy day yesterday with the horse trainer being here for three hours. She's a nice lady. She got out there in that round pen and she got Tanka to work! He needed it and I can now see that I need to be firmer with the horse.

Our weather is going warmer into the fifties, might be above freezing over night. I like it but that means it is time to get out there and do some yard work!

Glad you got that insight, and decided he isn't "impossibly nervous".

'moanin, Voltizens.

They look like they get along well, Lizzie, and look pretty good, too!

Leo went to his first "basic obedience" class yesterday and, WOW, is it a "tad" different than the last class. There were thirteen other dogs there, no "toy" sizes, and only four of them were puppies. He was so excited to see all of them, the first time he's seen more than two dogs at a time. Actually, he behaved fairly well and we managed to keep him quiet and sitting through the lecture. The first class is more lecture than actual training to cover their rules, insurance rules and introduce the trainer. He seems more practical with his approach to training, which I hope is a good thing. He started with two commands to learn, "look" which means look at me the owner, and "collar" to get them used to being held by the collar.

The class is later in the evening so when we got home, he plopped in his crate, started snoring both within about five minutes, and stayed there until this morning. I'll try to get a photo or two next week.
