Four years to retirement and I can think about that, Raynes.

I need an anti inflammatory e-liquid, though. My degenerative arthritis is killing me. I've had it since my teens and a knee surgery I swear was meant only to bilk my parents of their savings in order to line the pockets of the "sports surgeon" who performed it. They didn't have arthroscopic surgery available back then and my forever swollen knee just doesn't work well. Now, the rest of the joints are getting a bit achy, from a genetic aspect. And to think I want to retire to Oregon for the mild weather because I can't handle temps over 85 or under 40 for extended periods. /sigh

Have you ever tried Azulfadene (sp)? My Mother has RA and combined with methatrexate it controls her pretty good.

I missed it. Was it a Ken Burns-type special on PBS? (I love Ken Burns!)

Nah, it was a History Channel dramatization, but worked almost all of the known facts and fables into it. Very rock solid show, just the right amount of fact (as much as can live that many years) and poetic license. Both me and the missus loved it and she usually gives me a hard time for watching all these documentaries and docudramas

I heard it was fantastic - I am going to try to find and DVR it. Trying to remember the famous actor/director who produced it, but his name escapes me at the moment.

Kevin Costner was one of the actors and a producer, but I think someone else directed this one. History Channel replays everything - part 1 is shown again tomorrow, followed by 2 & 3 the next days (I believe).

I love your story about the wrens. They are so adorable. We had some birdies do the same on our porch in an abandoned pot that had tomato plants previously, last spring.

My husband and I are "critter people" as we have been labeled here in our little country community. We get birds and other animals at various times and feel obliged to at the very least try to stay out of their way, and often to do a great deal more. LOL I have an affinity with ravens and we have lots of them. Most people around here believe they are just pests, but this is just not so. They are extremely intelligent and also very magical.

We have two kittiekiddies and they are our babies. One I found on the doorstep of my beauticians little country shop. When I scooped it up, she said "Oh no Morri, (yes, that is my real life nickname) don't take that one. He's about to die and I know you, it will break your heart." Well, what I couldn't figure out was if she knew it was about to die, why the bloody he++ hadn't she done anything about it. Anyhow, I won't get into that. I just said, it will be fine and brought it home. It would have fit into my small teacup, a tiny thing and was covered with fleas, was dehydrated, etc etc. First thing after I tried to get it to drink a little water, I bathed it and wrapped it into a big fluffy towel and sang to it, while I rocked it. My husband had gone to the "feed store" that is what they call them here and got some formula and a tiny bottle for it. I was up at all hours for days feeding and rocking that little white kitty. That was years ago and the kitty is huge and believes he is the king of our house. He has to prove that point occasionally with his little brother, another kitty that wondered up to our home and we adopted, but that's another story. They are both big and lovable and are our whole world. and.....every since that day I found my little white kitten.......I do my own friggen hair.

Now that's a plesant story to wake up to. We've had a few "dumped" animals that wouldn't have made it on their own. You seem to get more attached to them when it's you that gives them a second chance at life.
