Drozd just a question here I honestly have no idea of the answer, are there many reported incidents of this happening, cause in general discussion I don't see it. I admit I haven't been to the modders section in quite a while. I just kinda feel from it not being posted in general discussion that maybe it's a bit overblown? Kinda a worse case thing as opposed to something that commonly occurs? There's a TON of egos out there and many people are going LR.

I say this because we use them exclusively on egos, and haven't had a problem, I'm generally not the luckiest person in the world:p boB

I use em on my Riva (when I use my Riva nowadays that is) with no problems. I think one thing is that there are some cheap LR's out there that blow in the manner Drozd talks about...resistance getting dangerously low. Also, my Riva is 100 mAh larger than an ego, so that could help also.

I first saw this (LR atty's blowing ego/riva) on a suppliers site...so it might be them covering their butts.

Pet peeve of the day:

People who honk their horn for like 5 mins when they pull up to my building. Are you really that friggin lazy? I get like one toot to let someone know you are there, but 5 mins later? Get off your fat ... and knock on the door, numbnuts.
that sounds like a situation where u open u'r door give them the 1 finger howdy and wait for them to come knock - well that's what i'd do, but i'm a jerk

pet peve, People who are in love with thier horns in Florida, Whats up with that?
I have been in so many states I lost count, Florida is the only one that seems to just love the horn, for no apparent reason

It could be the immigrant population. In a lot of other countries, honking a horn is a courtesy and not an anger thing like it is here. I was in Jamaica some years ago and our driver continually honked his horn around corners...when I asked him about it he explained it was narrows roads and letting other drivers know a vehicle was there.

there's been quite a few reported incidents spattered about the forum..
including these 2 threads:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...105-one-atomizer-killed-my-ego-batteries.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...09285-lr-attys-damaging-ego-riva-battery.html

from a thread about using LR atties on regular stock batteries:
A vendor friend is thinking along the same line of your "As the capacity (mAh) drops so would the maximum discharge rate (mA)."

The factory didn't give us an exact reason [what I wanted], but just told us they had test data to support them. I also got some words from other factories that the LR atomizers would make the regular e-cigarette batteries too hot and kill them, they also worried the batteries would explode in this working condition, so they don't suggest customers use LR atomizers.

and from ecigsupply:
DO NOT USE LR ATOMZIERS WITH RIVA OR EGO! Will damage battery.

like I said it's really just informed decision... it's been pretty well linked that they can kill the battery...but it's one of those accepted risk benefits may outweigh the risks kind of things

Are the LR safe on the helo 016?
Tim I dunno guess the question really is if there is in fact a problem are they using the same mofsets in the Hello batts, to which I don't have an answer
Hey boB how are you?

M, how you doing? Thanks the way you talk about then I HAVE to try one now.....thought I saw another post that they are 2.0 ohms?

Think it all boils down to if there is a problem, they could be using the same mofsets??? I have no idea:confused:

Got me wondering the same thing, but Scottbee knows what he's talikng about. I tend to think almost has to be isolated cases. boB

1st link with the regular atty seemed just as bad as the 2nd link with the LR.....what am I missing? And then I see Elendil in the co op for LR attys.....I'm more confused:confused:

Hazelnut. It's kinda like a chocolatey peanutbutter. I think it's German maybe.

Hehe, you're close on where it's from too. At least you're on the right continent.

It's Italian.

Boy, I ought to go play a game of Trivial Pursuit. I'm hot tonight. Had to go check that one to make sure but darned if I wasn't right.
