... I swear, my grandparents had the same knobs for 120 years, noone ever broke them!!

That's because they were hand-forged of iron.

:)
Plus those kids went out the door and stayed outside. They knew better than to come in the house and bother Mom... There would be extra work for them if they couldn't amuse themselves outside I'm sure :)

At least that is the way it was when I was a kid.

Lol, I used to get so much crap when people would come over and I'd be on the back porch drinkinf my beer with a cig hanging out of my mouth while I was crocheting away. No one ever complained when they got the awesome beanies for christmas.
One of the curses of being raised by just your mother and grandmother I guess. Knitting, sewing, crocheting, cross stitch... Oh yes I lost my man card oh so long ago :(
Maybe the welding, wood working, and dangerous job make up for it... Nope I'm doomed

I'm sorry, but whoever was giving you crap lost their man card.

I never could understand the idea that you were "less of a man" if you knew how to sew, or could bake well, or whatever. If you take all those fake macho-.... ideas and add them up, you come up with someone who could never be self-sufficient--can't make your own clothes, can't cook your own food, can't clean your own house. I dunno, but I don't think I want a man card if it means I have spend my time naked and surrounded by filth with only raw meat to eat.

...feh...

whats sad is everytime mine start fighting or getting on my nerves, I DO make them work... I swear, these kids havent played in years... LOL

But like all kids if you want the door shut, they open it all the time or leave it open. If you want it open (like today, when I FINALLY got it open) they will shut it every 2 seconds...

Good morning Everyone!
Its a beautiful sunny day here again. Tomorrow is supposed to be close to 100*! I sure hope we keep power- at least I have a generator....
Mommy time is great. vape, caffeine of choice, and a puppy that terrorizes the cat.
unfortunately we decided we have to find a home for the cat. The dog doesnt understand playing nice and the cat is in too much danger. But I'll see she gets a good home. Anybody want a 1 year old female tuxedo kitty? LOL. Sarge play nice :) She is not the "other" white meat.

Morning - gonna be a scorcher in the Ohio Valley today. Is it too much to hope that the house I'm leaving to clean didn't bump the A/C up to 83* like the last one was? It's almost 10 and miserable out - heck it was miserable out at 6:30 when we left the house!

So take it to 70, just remember to reset when you leave ;)
