"clearomizer" round up for 808s...

I went through 2 tanks before I could get the flavor, I expected that for a break in. End of 3rd, it's about there.
I bought the 2.8-3.0 ohms and use the KGO. I was surprised with the amount of vapor it was producing.
The 3rd tank went on the Lavatube @ 6V just to see what it could/would do. It had a hard time wicking. Dropped it down to 5V and it was the same. I ohmed them and they are all in the 2.8-3.0 range +/- .1
While vaping at the higher volts, you could hear it trying to keep up, sizzle; quite; sizzle; quite, etc.
Ok, it's to early for me here....lol.
End of 3rd tank and the flavor isn't where it should be yet, so maybe it still needs to be broke in more.

I like the raised cup, hotter vape for sure.

I got the 2.4-2.6 ohm, haven't metered them yet (XL)

It does seem like its putting at faster/hotter vapor, but I also seem to be outpacing the wick a bit. Granted I'm hitting the button a lot :) Flavor is getting more pronounced as I get to the end of the first fill

Clove I'm glad its working out for you so far :)

Skelley when you tried the higher volts, did you keep it horizontal as you were vaping it? When I put one of these on my puck it works best if I keep an angle on it to aid wicking, that way I don't outrun the wick. They do work best at more standard voltages as you know (3.7-4.2)

It can find it's way into the inner tube. Make sure you store it upright. Keep it upright when not in use. Give the bottom a good alcohol wipe to dry it off. Harsh juices- cinnamon, menthol, citrus, can work their way through the plug around the center post. You may have let it seep in when you pushed the tip too far. Check that bend to make sure the post isn't coming out too far at the bottom. (you'll need to drain it first)

I had to give the supreme a break as I'm not getting the flavor out of it.
I'm only on fill up #5 and it's still not 100%.
This easy fill plug is not for me and I think it will make the new CE3's worse if they add it.
I think it was fill up #3 or 4, it started leaking out the top on me. It must of created some type of vacuum as it wouldn't stop until I pulled the seal.
Vaping on higher volts even inverted, it's unable to keep up, so given all the above issues, it's gonna get modified after I get laid off today.
Clove, I haven't had any issues there. You may have to pull it off and make sure that there isn't any strands of wick bypassing the seal. I tuck them on the inside of the base or even trim them a little so I don't have to deal with it, also make sure it's pushed all the way on, which you've probable already done.
Gotta run...

skelley: sorry to hear you're getting laid off :( my mother just suffered the same fate. ::sigh::

were your fluxo deluxes able to keep up with higher volts? what voltage seems to be the sticking point for you?

Clove: Couple of possibilities. I don't think you have a micro crack anywhere, as that would cause a leak on the outside of the plastic.

As you know these things do wiggle off. If you filled, happened to slightly wiggle the casing off, or slightly wiggle it off and then push it back down (I'm talking about mm) this may have caused a tiny leak. I've had this happen, and then after I empty and refill the problem is gone.

Other thing is, not sure what you're vaping on, but if its something with a cone, be careful. Inserting the fluxo THROUGH the top of a cone can make it catch and shear the bottom a bit, leading to issues. Same with trying to pull it out through the top.

No, No, I'm a Union Construction worker. I go from plant to plant working on equipment and I get to stay at home until something else breaks, so it's all good.

Since I've been busy, I've only tried to break in that 1 clearo. I finally gave up on it today and broke out another.
I would say it's a bad clearo as the new one has at least started out with muted flavor. The other started out with "Zero" flavor (I mean zero flavor output) by the end of the 2nd tank it went to muted and that's where it stayed even on fill up #6.

I even tried it with no top seal (it was the same) so it has to be something to do with the wicks. The wicks must be different material as the dry hits are not the painful nasal burn, but more like a no vapor hit with no side affects. Sort of like sucking on it without pushing the button, it was weird. I've went through 'many' CE2's and I've never had a issue like this before.

Now the new clearo started out with decent flavor & vapor, but it has a funny taste. It's only the first tank so it's to early to make a call as to what it might be.

Anyways, these supreme's seem to be a CE2 with the nasty top seal and some new wicking material. Since I don't like the easy fill system, I won't be purchasing any more any time soon for sure.
YMMV

Edit: 1/2 way with 1st tank and I get burning rubber taste anything above 3.7v without any top seal, so somethings not right with the wicks.

Edit#2: I couldn't take the taste any longer. Disassembled and cleaned with vodka. Reassembled using the smaller ring from a older CE2 and will play with it further.

Some thoughts about gotvapes new products:

The bottom coil pheonixes should be interesting, so I ordered them. No wires, etc. Hopefully they're rebuildable and non-leaking. I ordered the 1.5 ml size.

the 3ml size: I though, what's the point? Since I have enough syringes to build an army of horses on anabolics right now, and I'm making my own tanks, I don't see the point. I passed.

The Vivi Nova: Looks like a great idea. Easy to take apart, re assemble, replace with screw on coil units, etc. But we already do this with our stardusts (minus the screws) and at a fraction of the over all cost. Thus I passed. I don't need to spend 16 bucks on an unscrewable stardust only to discover I have to brave the silicon beast to get good flavor again. Not worth it. It's a great idea though for those that aren't willing/interested in rewicking/recoiling things for themselves.

I ordered a pack of the phoenix bottoms as well, they look like MiT's newer CE3's so we will find out.
I'm gonna try to stop buying, I have around 40+ CE2/CE3's laying around now. Finger crossed :)

I have seen the newer CE4+'s (stardust type) for sale in 510, but not for 808 yet.

I tried another CE2 supreme, this one started out with muted flavor vs. 'NO' flavor as the first.
I vaped 1/2 tube, dismantled and burned the wicks with open flame; cleaned; fluffed wicks; installed older slim CE2 seal and filled.
It hits like a freight train. Vaped 1/2 tube and had to lay down, nic dizzy...lol.
When I tried it later, it was slightly muted in flavor, but puts out tons of vapor.
If I vape it inverted the flavor instantly comes back. The occasional dry hits are what I call 'clean' as you don't get that nasty nasal burn that feels like chard's of glass.

I see they did away with the nipple/top hat on the Vivi Nova. Probably because the post goes all the way up as the stardust should have done. I'm starting to understand the makers are not innept. They create an awesome product with a deliberate flaw and time it so it comes out just as we are fed up with the shortcomings of the previous product. The perfect solution magically comes along with slick marketing and hype and everyone falls for it. They are laughing at how easy this game is.

I'm in the same boat as Cyrus. I look around at what I have between DIY juice and parts. I'm set for a long time and can now whip together anything I need. I'm stuck on looking good when I go out and am limited by the asthetics of the cone shape but at home, I can vape on frankensteined awesomeness.

I gravitated back to the 808 after venturing out in the 510 world because it's simple, it works and it didn't get caught up in the hype. Any advancements were actually better than the previous versions.

Now I'm nervous about the ultimate fluxos. I don't see the last versions on GotVape's site. Have they replaced a good product with flavor muted hype or just made it harder to find. I didn't even realize I ordered them until you guys started reviewing them. I had to go back and check my invoice email.

The same marketing trick has been done often especially in the 'hobby-related' industries. Easy example is photography industry, camera makers do this all the time (new camera lack this or that).

The 'hobby-related' thing make it even easier to pull this off - there are always flock of fan ready to be amazed ;)

Nice catch!
