Good morning all. Nice and warm down here in the Deep South. Except it gets a bit chilly when my two grand girls are at each other. lol So nice this morning, they're both asleep in my hotel room and I'm enjoying coffee. May be the calm before the storm. I have to go in to work in a while so the oldest will likely ditch me to go hang with friends. Pretty sure the little one will stay with me.

Took them to see Star Wars last night. I really enjoyed the movie. I was most amazed that it was Friday night at a movie theater and the almost 15 yo wasn't ashamed to be at the movies with her gramma. She even introduced me to some of her friends. I wouldn't have been caught dead at that age.

Hey, Chili. Got the percolator to save counter room, but found I didn't need as much coffee grounds too. Yep, good for just heating water rather than using stove top.

Hi, Momma. Up to 28 degrees now and the little ceramic heater is by my chair keeping my tootsies warm.

I have earned one, haven't I? Doug said he's setting up an acrylic today that will go perfectly with the kbox. I'll do something to it to make it just right. Can't wait! I don't care for the one I have on it now.

Love the glitter. I threw some in my kale smoothie*. It's still yuck, but prettier!

But you...... you have the knack, kiddo. You could describe a dirty gutter as a sweet flowing river bordered by tulips!

We have kale green juice most every day. Doug makes them and he's gotten it down pretty good so they taste fine. I find it the easiest way to get lots of fruit and veggies in a day. I'm not so great at the whole nutrition thing. I just want what tastes good. Unfortunately I like crisp, crunch, fried, pasta, etc., the best.

'Morning, Dale. Wow! You're "at it" early today. Hope it was cause you went to bed early last night. I've heard lately that we need a certain amount of sleep even for our brains to repair themselves besides our bodies.......Man, think I need at least a week's worth of snooze time!........I need your coffee........My newly cleaned pot is making a really "tasteless" brew!!!

I like sleep and would sure like more of it! I did good last night and got a full seven hours! That's fairly rare. The night before I got four... starting at 5am. Sheesh. Glad that's the exception and not the norm.

Hope ya get your pot good and dirty quickly so it'll taste good again. lol

Stay warm mommab! At least you don't have to escort those silly golfers!

Ms.C - Any kid should be thrilled to be seen with such a cool grandma. Glad you're getting to have fun with them!

Bundle up, gals. Even colder weather on the way.

Momma, as a tennis player we would play in 32+ degree temps. However, we would be moving pretty quick and off the courts in about 2 hrs......We thought golfers were a bit "dingy" even if they did ride golf carts, they were still sitting and adding "wind chill" to the all afternoon game.......but they did have the "19th hole" to get warm.

61 and sunny today! The grandkids just left and we had a wonderful day! It will be 71 here tomorrow! I'm going to enjoy it while I can!

Ended up working again today for about 4 hours, even though I swore I wouldn't...only good thing is I was able to do it from the bf's...once I got here last night, I had my long overdue "big drink" and then promptly passed out and slept for about 13 hours! ...And the sad thing is I'm still exhausted and feel like I could sleep for another 13...afraid I haven't been very good company for the bf...good thing he's understanding. ...and to top it off, we've had a very sick doggie today...he was throwing up all night and today, but he finally seems to be on the mend now...he's starting to get back to his old self, but he sure had us scared for a while there.

angel, sure hope your doggie is back to himself fast! It's scary when they get so sick since they can't tell us all their symptoms!
Also hope you take tomorrow OFF. No work! Don't want you coming down sick, too!

Oh no Angel, I feel for you! I sure a m glad your doggie is getting better. And try to get some good rest! Rest does the body good!
And yes Kayte, the grandkids were very chattery! Mr. Chili and I are always amazed at how quiet the house is when they leave. But we love our time with them!

Yeah, we think he ate something that didn't agree with him, but have no idea what it might have been...once he threw up one last time this afternoon, he finally settled down and now he's getting a little more active and wanting to play a little too, so he's definitely on the mend...yes it's bad because they can't tell us what's wrong, that's exactly what the bf was saying today....and the poor thing was trying so hard to tell us too, he kept whining in different tones like he was trying to talk.

Yes, Kayte, I have no intention of working tomorrow at all...it's going to be a day of pure laziness...I'm going to need it because Monday is going to be awful with tons of stuff to finish up...I'm thinking once this trial is over, I'm going to go hide in a cave and not come out for a week!
