Ha! You just weren't comfortable in the "low country", Sirius. I'm not particularly fond of Memphis even though youngest lives just outside in Millington and next to a state park where she works. Hubby grew up in Memphis and will never live there again. Right on the Mississippi and the weather and humidity "kills' his sinuses. Didn't know how to breathe right until he left for college!

Momma, hubbs went looking for a fruitcake today at 5 different grocery stores. Seen them there in the past, but not now! Got to go to "specialty" stores to find them.

I tried a cherry cordial (chocolate covered cherries) once .. It tasted like gasoline though.

Haven't had any in a long, long time, and those were brought home from the office. Can't remember what brand and really don't "need" a fruitcake resting on my hips! So, if hubby can't find a decent one, no problem......How can you tell a "decent" one anyway?

Ha Chooch! Good question. I heard they can last a hundred years and taste just the same. I don't think I've ever actually tasted a fruit cake. My mom made whiskey cake that was sooo good. And buttermilk cake. And coconut cake.

Shoot. Now I may need to make a cake.
