Last time we bought a kitchen faucet I couldn't help but notice that those sample attached sprayer ones were often on display with the "neck" kind of hanging. That signaled "Danger, Will Robinson" to me as I'd have a broken one within weeks.

We went with an older (and cheaper) model with a separate side sprayer. Too many sad tales of soap dispensers for me to invest in them, too.

My siblings just sold our family home that my Dad had built in the late 30's before he got married. It still had the original faucet, with a 40's very modern style farm sink, a porcelain sink with porcelain drain board attached. That sink is not as deep as what we see now, but it sure is a treasure. The new owner swooned.

I bet the new owner did!! How great!!!

I think it's just personal preference, she really likes her's.
They're all a little different, her's just spatters, even when you don't have your hands in the water...
I'm already constantly wiping those water droplets.

So much back then was built to last, and what was old is now new again. Seems there's a great deal of interest now-a-days by the "young'uns" of 1950's décor.

Hi. tearose. Since I had five holes in my sink and thought I needed to fill them all with something (maybe a narrow vase with flowers?) and the old dispenser worked fine, bought a new one. Have since found out there are such things as "plugs" for those extra holes.

I forgot to mention, that's a great price you got that faucet for!!

Thanks, Lori. The purchase was serendipity. Didn't set out to buy that day and no research done at all. Just the preliminary look see. Sometimes I do fall into some sweet smelling stuff.

When we bought this house, DH replaced the (pitiful/leaking) faucet here. We'd replaced others at our old house with Kohler's, course, there were only two at that house.

When he came home with the kitchen faucet we have now, which is now 10 yrs old, he said "you got the nicer Delta, not the Kohler" , he said they weren't on any kind of sale, and he wasn't paying that.
It's been fine.

OT, sorry but, ....so, I'm on an iPad, at the moment, do any of you notice that autocorrect changes things, I mean beyond the normal autocorrect changes.

I know that I typed *there*, when I was speaking of the two faucets *there* (our old house).
I looked back over my post, and it changed it to "they're"
Honestly, I don't need autocorrect to help me screw stuff up.

Have had them all. Whatever's on sale and has the look I want. The one in the guest bath I want to replace is an "off" brand hadn't heard of before.....nor since, and the only one I could find at the time locally in the color I wanted. Cheap, but worked and has lasted as long as all the others.

Oh, we've had a few different ones too.
He just replaced with nice ones because he HATES plumbing of any kind.
I'm like you, I want it local, and the color and style I want.
