Aye, I thank ye all for your kind thoughts. Seems things like this are happening more an more as the years pass.... bummer..

Having down time is giving me time to think things over, do some web surfing and catch up on the new stuff being offered.

It might be time to look into further upgades/changes to hardware and designs, yet again! but, gotta keep up with the times, arrrr

I also see that there are several new wood mods on the market being mass produced, some of them kinda nice. I kinda feel like I'm playing that old Battleship game and shots are landing all around my last piece, one more hit an I'm sunk..... but so far no mass produced bottom feeders.

Two weeks to Christmas!

Capt' there is not one mass produced mod that even comes close to the works of art that you make. The quality and service that you provide for the crew could never compare to some big company that considers you as just a number and cash cow. Let's face it todays vape market is much like the computer market was years ago when everyday they were producing computers that had something better than the day before. You can't keep up with it.

Your mods on the other hand have a true following and are built to last, and if one happens to break down you back it up! Minor updates to improve quality are nice but why mess with something that looks great and more importantly works!!!

Again rest up enjoy the holidays and know that the crew has your back!!!!

You will also still get your 10% in reward points making it like a 25% reward, best I can do my friends!

Sometimes I have to change things though. For example, the Cruisers are getting higher and higher in current draw to the point that I'm wondering when the push buttons are going to start having problems. The next batch of 3.7v models will have current protection on the pushbuttons to avoid that. It's possible I may start to install fuses as well. The mod size will have to increase a bit, but that can't be helped.

I'm still looking over the adjustable 510 situation, but I believe the next batch of Regulated mods will have some type of an adjustable or spring loaded connector with a large metal pad. I don't see any other changes besides that for now.

Unfortunately I cannot start to cut out the insides of the mods until I know for sure what I am going to install in the top and the thickness of the wood I will need.

Food for thought...if you went with a fully mechanical switch you could eliminate the amp limitation on the cruiser. something along the lines of what the new woodvil that is coming out will have.

Actually, I wish to get rid of the current push buttons I use for Cruisers/Marauders and use those cool square switches I put in the regulated mods, so I will have to install a mosfet to do that.

The feed tubes won't have to wrap around the ends of the buttons anymore and the DNA style square pushbottons have a much longer expected life span as they don't have to handle the amps of the other kind.

I'm also expecting an order of spring loaded 510 connectors within the week and will let you all know how they work out. I will have to drill out the center pins myself to enable them to be bottom feeders, but I don't think that will be a problem. They are not FDV connectors.

I would hesitate to say yes to the 15 amp because someone will come along that want's to make a .1 ohm coil on an RSM. I think 15 amps will make even more people happy though.

Also I personally don't know of any BF regulated mods period.

And to attest to your following I plan on at least 3 more RSM's assuming you make em :D I still need my 26650 Destroyer and a Cutlass and Destroyer DNA 40 and possibly a 26650 Cutlass if I can ever talk you into making me one lol.

I normally have been vaping closer to the 15amp mark. That would be awesome if they were upgraded to handle that much. Most of my attys are built to .3 to .5 ohms, which 15A limit will handle. I've built my Cruiser to .6 just to be safe and well below the 10A limit. That extra 5 amps worth would be super!

Ahoy all, happy friday!

Well, all pm's been answered an my right arm is already letting me know to stop typing. kinda of a b*itch to type with just my left hand.

I think typing, playing guitar, playing mmorpg's and sanding all the time were just way to much for it and it finally protested. No more anything till it gets better, how boring....

anyhow, have a great weekend all...yar!!

it does seem like people respect the amp limits I set for the mods they get, perhaps I can just trust that and not worry about somehow fitting a fuse in them.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that if I really wanna push the envelope (below 0.4 or so) I grab a mech tube and 30 amp batteries. The RSM's get 0.5 at the lowest, usually closer to 1.5 when regulated.

Treat the ladies nicely and they'll treat you even nicer!

Edit:
Which mmo Cappy? I'm sure you've said before but I can't remember.

I'm having a blast with the new world of warcraft expansion currently :)

I said this before, but I know the limits and build accordingly. It may be my imagination, but I built my Nuppin to .6 ohms and it seems to hit as hard as my mechs at .3-.5. If you decided to keep it as is, I wouldn't mind. I also don't use fuses in anything. I trust my checked - many - times atties. If you did upgrade, then fine, it just gives me some more options in my builds.

I'd prefer a fuse-less Cutlass, I usually run 2-3 ohm coils and vape between 10-13 watts. My Cruisers & other unregulated B-Fs get coils no lower than ~1 ohm... I'm a wimpy Flavor-Chaser. :vapor:

A 15A fuse does not blow at the first sniff of a current like that.

I am running 0.17Ω coils on a Dibi, with a 15A fuse no problem whatsoever - a 10A fuse would fail - after a day of use; not immediately - but after about a day.

A more pertinent point is that 30A batteries can only go down to 0.15Ω coils (assuming no voltage drop) and so anyone that builds coils under that is asking for a plastic surgeon.

10A ought to be plenty, since most people are not animal cloud-chasing nutters like me.
