Oh yeah, those days are great. You can't even have a shower because if you do, the guy from Fedex shows up right when you're naked with shampoo all over, even if you've been camping by the window for 6 straight hours.
Delivery between 8am and 7 PM, that's a subtle way to tell you "we'll have complete power on your life for a full day, we'll decide when to put an end to your misery, until then...just wait and forget about your work, family and social life!" :D

Truer words have never been spoken. DHL drops my packages off around 11am, or otherwise it's 10pm.

What's even better is when you are home all day and they say they tried to deliver it but didn't really. I actually caught the delivery guy being lazy on camera with some car parts once. I had ordered some car parts (package was over 200 lbs if I recall correctly) and I knew our delivery guy sometimes just got lazy if he was running late by pre filling out a slip and sticking it to the door without ringing. Well I had a camera setup and recorded him come to the door stick the tag on and leave with no knock or doorbell. I showed it to a supervisor and never saw him again. Although I had complained about him a couple times already.

Arrg,

Dropped my Cruiser into a cup of coffee yesterday.

Cleaned it off and set the door under a heavy book to dry. Just tried it and to door is still swollen and doesn't fit. Turned off the humidifier so hopefully a few more days in 22% humidity will shrink it down a bit.

It should shrink back to its original size, but do place something heavy on it (tin can could do the trick) or you could have a warp in there. I'm sure Cappy will give you some good old tricks as soon as he drops by ;)

Ahoy all!

Unfortunately this is a new problem I've never had to solve. It sounds like you are doing the right thing though. I think I would have put a couple layers of tissue/paper towel on the top and bottom to allow it to absorb moisture and let air flow slightly and put very heavy weights on it for a week or two.

When I've dealt with warped doors from sudden humidity changes, I counter bent it slightly with heavy weights and let it set for a week and it worked ok. Wish I could help more.

Have a great day all, arr

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...I also did this: dropped my phidias in the dogs water bowl. the door warped and I could never get it back into shape.....

Sorry to hear about your door. I think I have warping under control with the heavy weight I put on it immediately. Now I just need it shrink a bit, it's like 1mm to wide left to right.

Ahoy all, hope everyones day went well?

I had a question on a E-mail about car cup holders and caddies. Anyone have an opinion on it? Would a car cup holder that can hold a box mod or a large tube sell at all? Aren't there already people who make them?

I hate to invest the time and effort if it isn't going to sell but 3 a year.

Later gators! arrr

I have seen them made from plastic for tube holders. Even for my box mods it would not be my cup of tea. I'd probably spill coffee on it.

+1

i can't see a car holder for a box mod. perhaps if i was a real estate agent or sumpin.

new here. me loves bottom feeders. methinks the website should have a section showing all the models, even if there are none for sale at the present. if that's available and i missed it, my apologies.

oh yeah- howdy filthy one :)

Hey Mama T, good to see you here.

The first post in this thread has some pics of the current models and the 2nd post has a link to a thread that has pic of past models. I've got the Crusier HD model that has switches and springs to handle up to 8 amps. I'm also waiting on Cappy to finish a batch of Cutlass models with DNA 20 controllers in them.

I've only recently learned about their existence and even if I think that's a cool option, I could as well live without one. Now I don't know, maybe some people could be interested by a cool wooden one instead of the majority of $10 plastic ones that exist (for tubes)... I honestly wouldn't care much Cappy ;)

Ahoy all, looks like we have a Thursday to overcome, but we shall be victorious and press on to the weekend!

Looks like the car cup holder caddy goes back on the shelf, from the threads reaction. No loss, It would be a hard thing to make anyway.

Have a good one, arrr
