Ahoy all, looks like we have a Thursday to overcome, but we shall be victorious and press on to the weekend!

Looks like the car cup holder caddy goes back on the shelf, from the threads reaction. No loss, It would be a hard thing to make anyway.

Have a good one, arrr

I should grab my car e-cig caddy and photo it for y'all. Red solo cup stuffed full of Kleenex.

Country boy, born and raised :D

Arrrr, ahoy me 'earties.

Dropping in to say howdy. The days are going tooooo fast and I'm not getting enough done. I'm a happy camper today, I got the CNC machine back running after a part broke and I don't have to make desk caddies by hand like I used to any more! Yipee! I can also finally get some real progress done on the batch which has been waiting patiently for me.

My machines are getting old! I wonder what is gonna break next?

Anyway, keep on cruising, have a great week!

It isn't likely for a while. Not to say if there wasn't a large enough demand it might not happen but it would basically take a complete re-design including the springs and wire and possibly even button options. However when it's been out long enough to prove itself if there is a large demand it is possible Cappy's mod choices are ever changing.

Thanks for your opinion. Doesn't the current cutless use a DNA 20 chip tho? I thought the DNA 30 is more or less the same physical dimensions ? Thanks again

It is the same except for a micro difference in the switch which is 0.2mm higher than the DNA20 but I don't think that would be a real problem for Cappy because of the way the Cutlass and Destroyers are designed. Once again, these 30w are just marketing IMO, the only real improvement to me is the fact that you're able to vape on a mech coil, the mech way...with all the benefits and safety of the electronics...that could make mech fans think twice about getting a VW device over another mech tube I guess.

Yip, that's why I'm sold. Love my mech coils and sub ohm setups, would be great to have the constant watt feature as well.

Ahoy all, happy Thursday!

Getting back up to speed here after an extended equipment outage. It's good to be rolling along again!

The DNA30, yeah, not sure what to make of that. When designing a mod there are so many factors to consider such as what is the maximum amperage possible vs wire diameter and wire strand size/number of wire strands and length of wire... Probable operating temperature, duration of current load, current capabilities of hardware and emergency venting paths are some of the factors that come to mind.

Another very, very important factor is the capability of the regulator device used to provide stable power. The guys designing the DNA boards seem like capable chaps and the people who make the board (Dimension Engineering) must also have engineers to approve designs and look for flaws. Still, I think that 10 amps might be pushing limits too hard. I'm gonna wait and watch on this, time will tell.

Have a great day!

Ahoy Cappy. I hear you sir. HANA mods & DZ NUTZ by Xmods are making the there new boxes with the DNA 30 chip. Unfortunately no bottom feeders tho, so I think if you attempted it you would be the first DNA 30 bottom feeder available. The wood makes it extra special too. Evolv has a spec sheet on their website that tells you the suggested cable specs to handle the current etc. not sure if I'm being a complete noob here but you mentioned 30 amps, but I believe it's 30 watts, but not sure if that means the same thing. I wasn't really keen on regulated devices before, but with DNA 30, I'm definitely excited. Standing by one six.
