If they have the 40's available I will use them. But that doesn't exclude the possibility that some may be the DNA25's. Originally I was told by Brandon that there was going to be a updated DNA20 with the new features, but it looks like it came out as a 25 instead. I am far from being in the loop as far as insider info goes. I'm just a little builder waving his hands in the sea of other modders wanting these things :D

I'll try to get what I want, but will take what I can get, arrrr

As for the issue of chasing clouds, I've never understood it and I still don't. Just as soon as I crank my wattage up a bit too far it starts to scorch my juice and it taste's bad and the wick quickly becomes gross. I don't understand how you can throw 40 watts into a coil and use it more than a few times before it's caked up with burnt juice. I would experiment on my own, but after 4 years of vaping I know what I love, so why fix it if it isn't broke I guess.

What I did take from the video was, that if you're using the temp control then the power/wattage settings should be rather meaningless. Power/wattage = heat, and your setting the heat instead of the wattage. Possible the higher you set the wattage the faster it will ramp up to the operating temp, but once there it should throttle back the wattage to give you your desired temp. If I understand it right....

I didn't quite follow that part either. He made an attempt to explain but it was lost on me.

I have zero experience here, but I don't see how more power would be possible while locking the temp at the same time.
I'm much more about the ability to use any wicking material without ever being concerned about scorching it. I'd imagine there would be much reduced gunking of coils at the same time.

Those two aspects should make for a much better vaping experience I would think.

Add that to a Cutlass and you've got brains and beauty!

If I understand correctly as long as there's liquid on the coil and proper airflow the coil temp will not go much past boiling point of said liquid no matter the wattage. So basically the temperature control won't kick in unless wick can't keep up or not enough airflow. To use an automotive analogy wattage=horsepower and temp control is Rev limiter if u miss a gear. I think it's genius if it works properly.

Ah now that you mention that, I do remember something about that and now it makes sense.

My understanding is:
Coil keeps getting hotter and hotter as long as the button is pressed, so in reality we get alot more heat(wattage) than we actually set our mods to. And there's lots of unnecessary power consumption since coil doesn't produce any more vapor after certain temperature. I guess what we all currently have is like electric heater without thermostat. So I think this function will positively affect battery longivity as well.

What I want to know however is whether it's going to constantly cut off/reconnect current to maintain the set maximum temperature while button is kept pressed. If it just cuts off and make me have to press the button again it could be an annoying feature because it'll limit my freedom on dragging time, and it'll be even worse if I use higher wattage in combination because the coil will get to the set temperature even faster resulting even shorter vapor production time. So I doubt they'd be that dumb to make it that way, but Pbusardo should've gotten into this feature more in dept to clear up some questions.

I think that's the beauty of the new board. You set your temp so you don't burn your juice and setting the wattage will give you the clouds if you desire. Like I said I think Evolve is going at this in a responsible way and not throwing caution to the wind.

For me I don't get having a mod that's putting out 180 watts. Fogging out a room because you can is beyond why I vape, but I understand for others that 's what they like. I'm vaping to stay off cigs. I enjoy my new hobbyand the satisfaction that it brings me. It has keep me smoke free for 13 months now.

This thread is dead. How's everyone doing? Still loving my Destroyer DNA rocking a Russian 91% and my Cutlass VV rocking a Divo or RM2. Really hoping the DNA 40s are readily available because if so I really need a Cutlass DNA 40!!

Hi fright. Yea me too! Love my cutlass with my RM2 (Thanks to Trunkers recomendation). I'm also looking foward to the new DNA40 board. How do you like the Divo compared to the RM2? Are they basically the same or is there a very noticeable difference?

So I've just recently found RSM, but I'm looking for a DNA bottom fed device. Which one do I want? Also, how often do they get released?

If you want bottom feed and DNA, then you want a Cutlass.

I think the next batch will be mostly Cruisers which are the mechanical version.

Keep an eye on the thread here for updates. We'll get updated before they go up for sale on the web site.

Don't know what you're style of vaping is but keep in mind that addy size is limited by the 15.4mm catch cup. Beautiful mods though! :D

Awesome! Thanks! I tried the REO route, and found the love for bottom fed devices. But at the same time remembered what I didn't like about mechanical mods. So I've been in search for a mod like the Cutlass.

Hi Joe,

I've got a Cutlass I would be willing to part with for a new crew member. If you're interested I'll PM you the details.

:::elbows LJ::: In spite of the avi. :D

Next batch of regulated mods was slated to be around Christmas but that may have changed in the past couple weeks.

The Divo has a better flavor IMHO and it feels better built more sturdy to me. I think it has a slight edge to the RM2 but they are very close to me. It is just a little sad that they are apparently discontinued. Not enough support for squonkers IMHO.

Thanks fright. I like my RM2. It took me a little while to get the coil and wick to my liking but that was not really an issue as I like to find the sweet spot on anything I build, including Kafuns,Russian 91% and even my Kanger and Nautilus Tanks. My biggest gripe with the RM2 is screwing on the top cap. I have yet to get the air hole lined up with the coil no matter how many times I try. It get in the general area but never directly in front. I wish that it had o-rings instead.

I've been thinking of taking the threads off and using o-rings but I'm not sure if this will work. Any way overall I like the RM2 but I guess like everything it has it's quirks.

Here Is a quick trick for lining hole up with coil on rm2. Put cap on and put a mark on base where hole lines up. Take cap off and build your Coil to line up with mark on base.
