Ahoy me 'earties, hope the start of the week wasn't too traumatic for ye all?

This afternoon I am going to be taking pictures of the finished 3.7v mods and then start getting them ready for sale. Pics will be posted here late this afternoon as well.

I treated this batch of Cruisers like they were regulated mods. I used great panels and combinations so I hope you all like them!

I also wired them all for 10 amps and used the heavy battery tabs so if you melt the wiring it's ur own damn fault and god's way of telling you not to vape at .2 ohms .... arrrr

The catch cups on the feeders are the standard 15.5 mm and the inset tank mods are the usual 23.5 mm holes.

I'm still thinking about the catch cup change and looking into alternatives. I have to get this figured out before I can start making boxes and drilling holes.

See ya'll later

Time to post pics of the batch. These will be available for sale from the website when they are uploaded. I have a lot of work to do to get them ready for sale so I estimate they will be ready for sale tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I will post the time the sale starts here on the thread later today.

they're awesome Capt! I see 4 or 5 Cruisers I'd be more than happy with.

On a side note;
I have several Cruisers I'd like to upgrade to HD. Is that doable? Is it something I can do myself or would I send them to you? Also, I am glad to see you considering a change in cup design as I'm having trouble finding a small bf atty that I like, especially now that I've tried some larger bf atties. I haven't looked into it yet but I'm hoping I can modify a couple of my existing Cruisers to accept larger atties.
Glad to see things are still rolling here...hope I can get one of those beauties tomorrow!
Have a great day crew, and good luck tomorrow :)

Upgrading would be doable, but not easy. All the old hardware would have to be taken out including the 510 connector. I would estimate 30 or 40 bucks due to the time involved chiseling out the old glue/wiring/batt tabs and drilling out the old 510 connector.

Ahoy all!

Well, on top of everything else I'm still trying to source a part I can use or modify to use as a flat catch cup with a rimmed edge.

I would like to find something around .5" to .8" in diameter with a small inner hole that can be drilled out to fit the 11/32" 510 connectors.

Here is one I found but the diameter is a bit small.

If anyone sees something in their travels that might do the job, please post the link here or shoot me a PM and I will look into it.

I can't really start making the mods until I know what I am going to need to do to incorporate the new CC's.... bummer ....

David is having problems with the website, not sure when I can start the process of uploading pics and making listings. I will keep ya all posted.

Have a great day! arrr

Chevy 283-350 V8 Steel Freeze Plug Set - Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop

Maybe? Drill a 510 sized hole in a steel freeze plug? Not sure on grade of steel or diameter, but could just work.

Edit:

Freeze Plug Size Chart « freezeplugfactory.com

This website makes them in stainless and all different sizes.

Hmmm, looks like 1 3/8" is the smallest they make, far too big I'm afraid.

I've looked at so many things, amish washers, cupped washers, ribbed washers, paper tube ends, cylinder ends, bottle caps and on and on.

What I basically want is a simple flat washer with a shallow ridge on the outer perimeter about the same height or slightly higher than the atty connector will be when set into the center. It could be anywhere from a half inch to an inch and probably work, but ideally the outer perimeter would allow a 23 mm RBA to sit inside of. If not, then I would have to use the o-ring system you showed previously.

Sourcing parts is one of the hardest things I have to do, takes forever and I've been looking for alternate catch cups for years. I might just have to make my own on the CNC machine with delrin sheets or something... arrggg

I'm trying to get the first listing completed on the website, then I can clone it for the rest of them and start updating descriptions and pictures. Damn internet connection is taking forever, can't wait to get the fiber optic installed this Friday!

David is also working on the website so I also have to coordinate with him while I work so we don't both try to update at the same time.

Do it..... I dare you to make that catch cup you just described............ LOL..... I'm ready for my first RSM probably won't be my last!!!!

I may have to. I wonder if I can get plastic sheets from Home Depot?
