cappy .....just curious, I'm looking to break my cherry with grabbin #927? arrrr but i am confused a little?
are you gonna say go here or there (site) or keep hitting refresh??? im gonna cry ....grown man ?!?!!

I suppose I should say what I mean, and mean what I say! Har!!

The website is working good again and things are getting updated handily. I usually like to give people a heads-up and post the date and time the sale will start, so I will do that now.

To favor the people who check the thread often, to favor the people who have subscribed and to get things moving...

I will begin the sale of mods TONIGHT at 8 PM (EST). That is roughly a hour and a half after this post. This should give me time to finish all the listings and get everything ready to go. At 8 pm I will enable the page that lists the mods for sale to be visible.

It may take me a little time to see what has been sold and then remove the listing from the website so if anyone gets a "Not in stock" message when trying to purchase a mod, just go back to the mods for sale page and try another one. I will try to remove them often to stop that from happening though.

Arrr

Hmmm, looks like 1 3/8" is the smallest they make, far too big I'm afraid.

I've looked at so many things, amish washers, cupped washers, ribbed washers, paper tube ends, cylinder ends, bottle caps and on and on.

What I basically want is a simple flat washer with a shallow ridge on the outer perimeter about the same height or slightly higher than the atty connector will be when set into the center. It could be anywhere from a half inch to an inch and probably work, but ideally the outer perimeter would allow a 23 mm RBA to sit inside of. If not, then I would have to use the o-ring system you showed previously.

Sourcing parts is one of the hardest things I have to do, takes forever and I've been looking for alternate catch cups for years. I might just have to make my own on the CNC machine with delrin sheets or something... arrggg

I see smaller ones on mobile, the 7/8" and 15/16" (22 & 23mm) caught my attention for possible use as full fledged catch cups.

I'll keep looking around :D

Ahh, I see. I was only looking on the right side of the listing. I'll take a second look. These might do the trick? If possible, I will have to order some quick so I can make plans. Thanks!

Ok Waho, I shot them an E-Mail asking how to order individual plugs as the only thing I saw on their shopping page was kits.

129 SS - 15/16 - 23.81

23.81 ID would be just perfect for catch cups, cross ur fingers.

Fingers crossed. Not to pressure but any word on the DNA 40?

Hope this company and thing work!

I think that would be OD but they have fairly thin walls. I just helped my buddy replace all the plugs in his 455 Olds rocket from his 69 cutlass (arrr!) and didn't think anything of it until your link earlier.

It will all depend on him hooking me up in about 4-6 weeks from now when the batch is going to need them. I will try my best!

It's one of the best alternatives I've seen so far, but I hope the appearance will also be acceptable. Won't know until I get one.

I will re-enable the page so everyone can see it at or shortly after 8 PM. I'll try to time it better than last time :D

Yo ho!

The first 5 orders went through without a hitch, no duplicate orders so I assume there won't be any problems with that for the rest of the sale as the initial rush is over. Shiny!

Now I can sit back and catch my breath again, busy day.....

Say Waho, I've also been toying with the idea of just insetting a small chrome flat washer into the top, sealing it up well and using the O-ring system. If I did do that, then the size of the RBA is of no consequence. I've never done anything like that before but It looks like it would be ok as long as the o-ring was leak proof.

On a general note to all, I've been using a clone DNA30 board for a while now and have had no issues with it at all. As soon as I pick it up I click the bottom once to wake up the board, but aside from that I've had no issues.

I may decide to use a few of them on the upcoming batch for those people who don't care if it is a clone board and who wish to save $40 on the cost of the order. Yes, they are that much cheaper....

I will try to get DNA40's from Evolv when I order them. They have come out with new models so fast, the DNA20D, DNA30, DNA40 that I'm wondering if the DNA5000 is going to be released before I even have a chance to order the 40's ... doh!

We will see....

Hi Cappy, I really don't think you will see a DNA 50 in the near future. The 40 is so innovative with the temperature control that there's really no need for more than 40 watts. You really should take a look at the DNA 40 data sheet and you'll really see how advanced it is. ;) I may be wrong but I don't think we would mind paying $40 more for a genuine Evolve chip over a clone. Especially if it a DNA 40 :D I know I wouldn't mind. :)

Hey Cappy, are you still planning on some mini's? Haven't heard much about them lately.

They got put on the back burner and I only had two of them I was playing with. So much time has passed since the last mod sale I needed to get these Cruisers out to finance the rest of the batch! Heh

I watched the hour long video on them and yeah, they look pretty cool even if for just the reverse battery protection. There would only be a few cloned dna30's in the batch, but I'm thinking a few people might not care about the features on the dna40 and just want a regulated mod at a better price.
