What is your coil inner diameter or what size of drillbit or screw driver u use to make the coils? It is impossible to jump from 10 wraps at 2ohm to 8 wraps at 0.48ohm, unless there is a sort somewhere or your coil connection is loose.

I'm using those metal ear diggers as my coil ID. before I tighten the coils on the 8 wraps, they came in at 1.2ohms. And then... :/

My guess, maybe when you tightened the coils it overlaps. Post the picture of your coil, might be able to help you to see what went wrong.

Never overlap leh. I did check before I went ahead. How did you guys get a tight coil? I can't seem to do a nice and tight coil... I shall try a 0.7/0.8 ohm build tonight. Should be safe enough for my AW IC 18500 right?

Checking the spec of that battery, it has 3A max discharge, so at 4.2 volt max charge your optimal resistance should be 1.4ohms. You can download ohm's law apps for this. You can probably push for 1 or close to 1ohm.

My way of wrapping the coil is trying to wrap it as close as possible and tightly as well. So basically there should not be a slack in the coil. After that, i mount the coil, once securely mounted, i pull the coil away from the post to tightened it more. Then i fire it till all glowing then carefully pinch them (you can repeat this as much ad you want) till it glows nicely. This takes practice but once you get used to it, it's really easy process to do.

I'm not quite satisfied with my 0.8 ohm dial coils now. Very thin vapor.

I'm gonna rebuild to 0.7 ohm dual nano coils tonight. Gonna wick it for dragon coil. Hopefully I'll get more vapor and flavor.

Go 0.3 like mine, satisfaction guaranteed.

I think protected batteries are safer than our unprotected high drain, it has built in chip to protect from over discharging.

At 0.8ohm, you should get a good amount of vapor, unless mushroom is what you looking for. You can try to lower the inner diameter of your coil or it could be your wick is overly soaked or your battery is quite low.

Also you might want to try super nano coil, which means instead of using drill bit or needle, you use 28awg kanthal to wrap your coil around. This one will give you a good vapor but i still prefer using twisted ribbon and normal kanthal and threading the cotton through it as i personally feel, it gives more warm and dense vapor and better flavor.

KFL will surely not be able to give you good chunk of vapor like dripper since it has limited air flow. Dripper, you can get a good chunk with 5second drag on 0.6-0.8 or specially if you do lung. But of course if you go 0.2-0.3, 2-3s is more than enough to give you mushroom.

Juice wise, of course more VG means more vapor. But at the rate i am going its more or less the same just that pure VG juices is more dense and i prefer this not because of the vapor but PG juices gives too much TH for my setup.

I'm getting decent clouds. Not quite what I want though. I want it dense. I find my vapor to be quite thin...

I think I'll lower my build to a 0.7 or 0.6 tonight and give it a shot.

Surprisingly my KFL with 0.7 gives me decent vapor (at least according to my noob standards, not mushroom but happy enuff). :)

Flavor is goodie .. can't stop once I start, might just OD on nic. :p

I'm using a 0.5ohm build now, and the vapor isn't mushroom yet. I think we are in the same position, decent clouds but not dense. I assume that the problem lies with my juice as I am now on 30/70 vg/pg mix. Maybe its the same for you too

Yeap. I'm on liqua. I have 50/50 blend coming in a few hours time. :D
Tonight I shall try a 0.6 ohm dual nano dragon. Let's see some nuclear mushrooms!

LOL im using liqua too. No wonder we are experiencing the same thing. I have tried the nano dragon build before with mothers milk. Loads of clouds but i still prefer the classic dual micro coils haha.

Just finished building bro! Came our a little unsatisfactory.
Dual 28 gauge with 14 wraps.
0.9ohms. :( was aiming for 0.7 ohms. But the clouds are pretty good at 0.9. I think I'll try 0.65 tomorrow and see how it goes. If all goes well, time to get a sony 30A battery and build a mind boggling 0.2. Heck. Maybe even a quad coil at that.

Here's a good read on nano, micro and sub-ohming

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=12037254

For me, happy with just dual micro or single. Fancy builds just aren't worth the time to rebuild everytime you need to change coil. Fingers are suffering from tightening and coiling. :p
