I believe the Cana i got is the first version and to be honest it turns on most of the time with one click , at the most two . I am using a VTC5 for it but a question about charging .

Is this the type of battery that should be charged often and to keep it topped off or is it better to run it way down, does it have memory?

My other question is about an adapter , i need something that would allow me to use some clearos that you screw onto like the type of setup the MVP has , what type would that be ?

Thanks

There's a cutoff to prevent the battery from discharging too low. For batteries in general it's better to keep them at a higher charge rather than running them completely dead.
The adapter you seek is a 510 to ego adapter. You can get a cheap one for a dollar and change. There are some with wells on them. Check madvapes for that one

Thank you very much CC , appreciate it .

Is this what you mean , the bottom one gets terrible reviews but the top gets great reviews , both are 510 to ego adapters.

I'd go for the top one. I've seen it get praise. I have one SIMILAR to the bottom one, but the pin on the bottom pokes out more on mine, if you have a v1 Cana (fatter center pin), you want it to protrude past the threads a bit to be safe (some v1 users have experienced shorts with attys that have a recessed or flush center pin). I haven't looked recently but that top one is pretty cheap as well.

Btw, don't be afraid to use your mods battery until it's dead if you have to, if you can't get a charge in it will cut off around 3.2-3.3v (which is not to low) if I remember correctly from my tests.

The battery you linked does not have the amp rating you need for your cana. The NCR18650B is not a high drain battery and has a 6.8A limit. Your mod can draw up to 12A.

I have/am using Sony VTC5's, LG 18650HE2's and Samsung 18650-25R batteries with mine and getting good runtime.

I bought the same and found out that they were not going to work with the Cana if i used anything with higher wattage .

It's been about two and half months (73 days exactly) with my version one cloupor and still going strong. Heavy use constantly all day every day. It has its quirks but no real complaints. In my eyes I've already gotten my money's worth out of it while every day from here on out that it doesn't die is icing on the cake.

While thats good lets be honest here . I have heard your remarks by a # of people and it just doesn't wash lol . Would you of bought it if you knew for a fact it would last only 73 days , i highly doubt you would . I expect a hell of a lot longer lifespan than that.

Herb, maybe you've heard similar remarks by other people but not my remarks by others as that's impossible because my remarks are just that, mine. Were you implying that my post wasn't honest? Whatever you highly doubt and or expect has nothing to do with my opinions and thoughts other than being different. I will reiterate.

When I pre ordered from vaportekusa early on before elev8vape, 101vape, and others even offered pre orders there wasn't really any information about the mod or reviews. Actually it was even advertised as having a lipo battery when I pre ordered. I took a chance knowing I was getting an early version and was hoping it would last a couple months at least without knowing what to expect other than not expecting much while hoping for the best. I've been putting this version one cloupor through the wringer for the last 73 days while my army of mech's been waiting for it to die. As long as I don't drop it or put the battery in backwards I think this mod has potential to last a long time. Currently around a dollar per day cost, for 73 days usage, I'm happy if it dies tomorrow or in a few years. In my eyes I have gotten my money's worth out of it. These are my opinions and thoughts.

Now when it comes to the iPV2 I took a little different route. I waited until some people had the mods in their hands and got a little feedback before finally ordering one yesterday. Once I recieve the iPV2 I suspect the cloupor version one to get less attention and maybe even only be a back up. Then the cloupor might actually last a very long time without much usage.

Alright i understand where your coming from and i don't doubt you but i still firmly believe that the vast majority would not spend $70.00 -$80.00 if they new for a fact the mod would only last 73 days . Most make far wiser decisions than that

When i spend that kind of money (rare) i better be getting something that last a long time , while my confidence is not very high regarding Cloupor since they really have no past experience with making electronic mods, i have confidence enough in it to last a lot longer than 73 days.

If it doesn't last considerably longer (and since i don't stress it) i will be very disappointed in it.

My math for 73 days of cigarette cost would have been over 730 dollars and I got nothing in return for that....

Herb, it's a fact that it's not wise to gamble on an unsure thing. Everyone who took part in the initial pre orders of the first batch of unknown untested cloupor mods was taking a chance, a gamble. I never said I was trying to be wise when I took my gamble. My main point is I feel my gamble has already paid itself off. There's no amount of pokes or jabs at my honesty and wisdom that can change the fact that I'm happy with my cloupor mod, be it die today or many years later.

It's a shame someone who received a cloupor mod for free would be disappointed in it if it didn't last more than two and a half months as the cost per day is zero for however long it does last and should be happy with whatever they can get out of it, in my opinion. Is it a little contradicting to not have very high confidence in cloupor but have confidence that the cloupor will last a lot longer than seventy three days?

Hey all I've been following the Cana modz since the pre-orders but just received my clone a little under a week ago now. Different folks have purchased the box mods from different vendors / manufactures I know but what I'd like to do is get a general feel of how well the DNA 30 box mod clones are doing. I've created a short survey that I'd appreciate if you would fill out if you have first hand experience with one. Please only 1 submission per box you've purchased. Thanks in advance for your contributions.

If you just want to follow the results I believe this link will take you there.

Unfortunately someone decided to try to skew the numbers by submitting data numerous times. I was hopeful that we had more mature individuals that were as interested in this data as I. Due to this until I can figure out a way to verify each submission I have taken the form offline.

At the point this occurred about 80% of the poll was positive results and about 20% was negative. With the small sample it's really hard to take much from the numbers sorry.
