Well dang here I thought I was going to let the cat out of the bag with this potential news. I have not heard anyone state the clones had Buck circuitry before, and when I seen this on the scope I thought holy cow no wonder no vendors / manufacturers have released this info. I don't feel confident enough that I can actually state this as fact of having Buck regulation. There may be other factors that contribute to the signal I'm seeing that someone else with more knowledge can explain away. And although you see similar measurements on your volt meters whereas my "crappy" meter shows me the peak voltage of the spike it does kind add a bit of credence to the possibility. It would be nice to see an EE scope one of these clones out. By the way what maker / model / vendor did you purchase your from? And do you know which version it is?
I have the the silver unit from 101 vape, ordered and received recently, I think its the most 'up to date version,' smaller 510, etc.
I'm not certain its true bucking, but yeah I posted about this a few weeks ago in the other thread about cana issues that people seemed to dislike. What I'm certain its not is just pure battery voltage because it clearly gets weaker as you decrease the wattage setting. But my display was flashing as I noticed and measured all of this. But I only tried this with a .6 and a .5 ohm coil so far. I couldn't get more than 3.5 volts to a .6 ohm build set to 30 watts so started building in the 1.4 and higher range (28 actual watts maximum for me when set to 30 watts) and haven't played around with it since.
