I made it home finally. After work I went straight to the salon and got my hair cut again. The first person I went to when I cut my hair short again was really nice but she never styled it for me so I would know how to replicate it. She said I have to schedule a longer appointment and it costs more. I took the pics in to the new hairdresser and she hit the nail on the head. Love it! Morgan does not and I'm sure hubby will not either. It's not their hair so I don't care. It's kind of spikey in the back and very textured in the front. Lastly, I stopped at Dollar General to get some canning jars and storage boxes. I'm going to have to go to Walmart tomorrow or Monday for the rest of groceries. Yuck. I've put it off the past two days.

On the way home I ran to Dollar General for a few storage boxes. Yes, I'm still organizing over here. The living room is pretty much done. Hubby and I conquered half of the office the other day. I'm doing a little at a time here and there once regular housework is finished during the day. I am looking forward to getting rid of the two sets of dishes (bowls, plates, etc.). I am finally going to get out the unopened dishes that we got as a wedding present 20 years ago.. No, I've never opened them because I was saving for something I don't remember now. I've got some nice flat ware too that I may bring out of hiding also. I'll have to brave the sauna of the attic to find the stuff. It's up there somewhere.

Hubby is very excited and happy with new tool chest. He spent most of Thursday and Friday organizing it. He never usually asks for specific things on special occasions. He'll just say he doesn't want anything and then I'm left trying to figure out what to get him so I'm glad he got the tool chest.

Time to harp on the kids about their chores....

That reminds me, Tiff - I have my mom's set of good china in the attic, I've never used it. It's a service for 12! It's really pretty, has little blue flowers on a white background, but rather delicate looking. I'd love to give it to Ian, but I don't think they would have anywhere to keep it, and they certainly wouldn't use it much with the kids being so little.

When I did our wedding registry I didn't want china because I knew I would never use it. Hubby was at basic training and then firefighter school in the Air Force. We actually were planning a wedding after he got to his first assignment and he found us a place to live. He called me one day and said he didn't want to wait and for me to plan the wedding for when he gets back from tech school. That was two months away. My mom and I busted our butts to get it all done in time. It turned out really good. We found a place to live in Ft. Walton Beach and boy was it tiny. It wasn't the best looking place either. We were on the waiting list for base housing. My mom came down to visit me not too long after we moved and she later told me that she cried when she saw the place we were living in. I promise it wasn't that bad. Just really really small. It was probably the size of my living room now.

Well, we all have to start somewhere!

Yep. Some of my best memories are there. I remember having a cairn terrier that we had to hied because we weren't supposed to have pets. Never did get caught. We trained him to chase and kill the palmetto bugs

I have a set like that too. The kids don't want it, and I don't use it. I feel guilty giving it away, but it's just sitting there. ugh.

No body up and moving yet? I just got back from Walmart with groceries. Hubby is at work and of course the kids were still asleep. Made them get up and help put everything away. Now it's time for chores and Alex is hiding. Morgan just finished all of hers. I forgot to buy toilet paper at the store and we only have 2 rolls left. Oops.

I bought milk and chocolate syrup for the kids to make chocolate milk. Morgan just fixed some for herself and took a big swig of it. I had accidentally bought butter milk.

Nope. No ho's here to bring it.

Morning posse!

  I told you I couldn't see didly squat. Seriously I can not see. Something changed my vision sometime in the last couple of months. If it's far off I can see it but if it's close up then I can't make anything out. Just looks like a black, blurry line.

I have duckies at the house hut again. Now they have a chicken run turned into a duck run. They sure are having fun. I'm going to hate taking them back to the shop.

Mr. V is out playing on the tractor, I'm roasting coffee beans.
